Re: LEGO disappearing from small toyshops

(...) The other kind of stores that might be interested are those stores that specialise in "executive toys" or "adult leisure products" (no, not *that* kind) or "gizmo shops". Those stores often carry the high-end model-building sets, huge jigsaws, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Feb-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: LEGO disappearing from small toyshops

(...) Um, isn't this *really* big news? A minimum buy of $1000 would make it reasonable for some parts sellers to buy Lego at wholesale. It's not 75% off clearance, but wholesale would be a good price, especially if it gave a seller the opportunity (...) (23 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.theory)

  LEGO disappearing from small toyshops

Hardly any small toyshops seem to carry LEGO anymore. I've been told that toyshop owners don't like to carry it because it's too "mass market" and they specialize in quality toys. Also, I suppose it is hard for toyshop owners to compete with the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

Lego won't help - any idea?

Hi, I'm just spending my spare time with cleaning my technic sets and replacing the defect parts. On my 8448 the technic shock absobers (clear) were broken. Same at 8446. A small tube from 8445's steering was lost. So I ordered spare parts for three (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

The initial post has some decent points.
