Re: LEGO... are you out there? Do you care? (WAS: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS?)

(...) [snip] (...) But according to your estimate, LEGO.com already gets 10 times the hits of LUGNET. Clearly, it is *the* destination of choice. Doing 10 times better than the nearest competitor would seem to be pretty good, wouldn't it? Cheers (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Mike, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I feel it's only fair to state this: If the LEGO company as a whole doesn't soon pull up its socks, there won't be any LEGO Direct, there won't be any bulk parts and there won't be any more (...)   Re: LEGO... are you out there? Do you care? (WAS: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS?)

(...) The front page of LEGO.com should be updated no less than once a week, and preferably more often. How many of us enjoy CNN.com, or CANOE.com or LUGNET.com because the content changes so regularly? LEGO should make their website *the* (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

At least you got through with 1-800-453-4652! I have be trying all day to get through! At least 10+ times at 9am, 10am, 11am, 3pm and 5pm. All I get is busy signal. beep, beep, beep, beep, beep...   Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Well it seems to me that most of the posts (in terms of what people want to spend their money on) in this thread are supporting my assumption. Frankly I find it baffling that someone would not want at least 1,000 of any given basic piece. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: What's the good number for S@H now?

I can't order the LSAH Special item from the LEGO web site (it is shown as (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) That was exactly my point though. The company could make MORE profit on bulk by reduceing the per unit cost but greatly increasing the volume produced. Everyone would be happy that way. (...)   Re: What's the difference between LD & S@H?

(...) Read this thread from July-2000 entitled (coincidently): "What's the difference between LEGO Direct and LEGO Shop At Home?" (URL) Docuette. (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  What's the difference between LD & S@H?

I hate to sound naïve, but what’s the difference between LD & S@H? I’ve been a closet AFOL for a while, but I am fairly new to the ‘official’ community. I get a Lego catalog in the mail every couple of months but it tends to be just a watered down (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

(...) Tim may correct me (don't know if he reads this board, don't care enough to X-post it), but I'm pretty sure the catalog came out of a FBTB reader's Darth Maul or other new SW set, which was then mailed to Tim.
