Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Just my two cents. I bought the green dragon. I found the set to be challenging, and a well designed set. Granted it is a little too cute for me, but still a nice design. On top of that, once you take it apart you have tons (tonnes) of green (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) OK. I'll defend the Camel as a good, even great, model, though. It isn't minifig scale but neither are other model team sets. It's a bit bigger scale than model team but it is along the same lines. I found it to be a very enjoyable build. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I guess that's true but I thought we were talking about instances where the TLG model was good. If we're talking about as a set of parts, then yes. (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) That would be cool! I would be OK with it not saving high scores, etc when it was standalone, and requiring all scoring record attempts to be while connected (to prevent hacks). We were connected to the LEGO website for many hours yesterday, (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I think that Lego have got themselves into a viscious circle. For some reason they realeased Juniorised sets, these sets didn't sell as well as they hoped. So to make up for losses they've diluted their product range and created these sets (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) I was hoping for the same thing...no-go when I tried to download to Shockmachine... If Tomas doesn't catch it here, I'll mention it the next time I e-mail with him...I'm thinking a CD in the next Mania Magazine... Matt (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Roger that. I am *almost* ready to take back all the mean things I've ever said about Shockwave. (1) I wish you could play it standalone though. (...) I'm even digging the music, it's pretty catchy. 1 - But please note that this game doesn't (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) The minifig isn't THAT useful but the other three you name are veritable treasure troves of parts. Sopwith Camel especially looks like someone who knows what sort of parts I like designed it to be a great parts source to fill in the gaps in my (...)   Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) Larry, I got word from Tomas a little while ago. The build of the game that made it to the site IS NOT saving. The beta builds did...hence the Hall of Fame scores. They will be fixing it next week. I played the game straight through late last (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New stuff on LEGO.com: Mindstorms redesign, Build updates

(...) Junkbot is a lot of fun! Nik and I spent several enjoyable hours. There are a number of good puzzles in it. It doesn't seem to be saving stats from one session to the next, though, is that WAD? (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Not true. I don't like Star Wars, and none of the sculptures are of any use to me. What can i do with a giant minifig or dragon or sopwith camel? Maybe if the dragon was menacing I could pass it off as some monument in a medieval town, or if (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: New stuff on LEGO.com: Mindstorms redesign, Build updates

Tomas As the new Lego Mindstorms site has launched, when can we expect to see the old content "converted" to the new content? I have been looking for the scout SDK and it is to be found nowhere. I know the SDK is rather old, but many of the members (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Putting your bricks where your mouth is...

I've read so much about anti-juniorization, anti-bionicle and desires for the return of town and space. But outside of expressions of nostalgia or all-out bashing, what I haven't heard is how individuals would like to see things directed in a *more (...)
