Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) Larry, I got word from Tomas a little while ago. The build of the game that made it to the site IS NOT saving. The beta builds did...hence the Hall of Fame scores. They will be fixing it next week. I played the game straight through late last (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New stuff on LEGO.com: Mindstorms redesign, Build updates

(...) Junkbot is a lot of fun! Nik and I spent several enjoyable hours. There are a number of good puzzles in it. It doesn't seem to be saving stats from one session to the next, though, is that WAD? (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Ah, but they can be used for SOOOO much more than that. Cool looking caps are just the beginning. This function does vary from mask to mask, though. (...) I've got no argument there.   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Not true. I don't like Star Wars, and none of the sculptures are of any use to me. What can i do with a giant minifig or dragon or sopwith camel? Maybe if the dragon was menacing I could pass it off as some monument in a medieval town, or if (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: New stuff on LEGO.com: Mindstorms redesign, Build updates

Tomas As the new Lego Mindstorms site has launched, when can we expect to see the old content "converted" to the new content? I have been looking for the scout SDK and it is to be found nowhere. I know the SDK is rather old, but many of the members (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Putting your bricks where your mouth is...

I've read so much about anti-juniorization, anti-bionicle and desires for the return of town and space. But outside of expressions of nostalgia or all-out bashing, what I haven't heard is how individuals would like to see things directed in a *more (...)   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) O.K. I think we agree here. You're saying the kids are going elsewhere in droves. You're saying Bionicle doesn't interest you. Is there a chance then that it doesn't interest the kids as well? This is what I'm saying... that LEGO's product (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

Not quite true. I bought a very nice set of new LEGO wooden blocks in Billund last week. They come in a wooden box as well.   Questions from a tired Junkbot Addict (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

Well, it's been 5 hours since I last posted ...I finally completed all of the Junkbot levels, with a score of 1093. Now, shouldn't I be ranked #23 on the Hall of Fame? 'Cause I'm not. Did I miss something in the way of rules? I assumed this game was (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Alright then, here's a bigger question. Do you consider the masks to be collectible items from Lego or do you think of them as 12 more building parts in semi random colors. I think of them in the second way. After all, if it can't be used in a (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

(...) And they have-- in droves. Themes like Bionicle are attempts to win them back. Guess what? I have not the *slightest* interest in Bionicle, but I'm not going to rail on it. And why should I?   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) How do think TLC can do this? Make a Castle Kingdom for $50.00? Impossible. Kids buy lego because of its ability to create, and parents buy Lego because of its educational value. Lego was always an expensive toy, not just now. So if the price (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) And let me say, if you don't normally play the games on LEGO.com, this is the one to make you start. I have cursed Tomas, et. al for creating this HIGHLY addicting game more than once!
