Re: Dan's Carrier LEGO Builder's Gallery

Right now it's geared for whoever wants to send in a picture. At some unspecified future date, we may try and do age-range categories. Tomas Clark Producer, LEGO Direct P.S. It really is an awesome ship! (I can say that since I wasn't the one who (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

After a nine month drought of not buying new LEGO, sans a LEGO Racer and the Droid Escape set, I have pre-ordered my Guarded Inn, and this is from someone who was never once intrestead in Castle sets. I am so excited! This is a great idea for LEGO! (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

Excellent, a very nice surprise, but when would it be possible to use lego direct from the rest of Europe (Spain, for example). It is really disappointing to know that the Guarded inn is available again, but not in your country. Anyway, I am just (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

(...) I think for a more diverse mini-figure set it would be better to re-issue Castle-Mini Figures. It has 2 forestmen, 1 lion-sheild, 2 black falcon sheild, and a Peasant. You could build up and army of each group by buying several copies of this (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

(...) Then again, some of us could never imagine TLC making a Star Wars series. Ian (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

(...) Great idea -- why not leverage the production costs for the wall pieces by producing a US$5 "Inn Expansion Set": 2 tudor straight walls, 2 Tudor corner walls, and some black slopes and bricks? --DaveL (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

Liffeywater a beer? Sure it's as black as Guinness.... Remember a big upset a while back when they discovered life in the river Liffey..... Anyway, why bother with Liffeywater, get the Water of Life: good ol' BlackBush! Duq "Larry Pieniazek" (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

(...) <snip> (...) Man, those are all REALLY excellent choices. Is it accidental that you chose a set with the black feathers? But anyway, those first two sets you mention are about as necessary as the Guarded Inn. Once you have some large castles, (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

(...) This is wonderful news! Let me be the 111th to thank you! It's a great feeling to know that as large a company as Lego is listening to it's fans, and is making such an effort to give them what they want. Bravo! Here are my wishes for future (...)   Re: And the July Surprise is...

Brad & All, (...) Wow, talk about extremely awesome! I would have NEVER imagined TLC ever doing this. It is a dream come true! : ) (...) That is great, so people who own the original sets can say, yes, I have the original one as well. Great idea! (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: S@H suggestion

Hmmm it can remember multiple ship to addresses... yet it can't send a reply to my order with my correct name, which I know I typed correctly when I ordered...(I do know how to spell my own name..) shakes head... Tamy (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Old Parts in Legend Sets?

(...) I have another point: The Guarded Inn includes a large door (blue) and shutters (yellow, for the 1x2x2 window) that have not been used in new sets for some time now. It seems to imply that older parts can indeed return--although as to your (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  Lugnet has a problem

Lugnet has a problem. No one can have their own opinion if it differs from everyone elses. If they do, they are attacked. Read the posts that were in reply to my own, stating my discontent with the re-release of the Castle set the Guarded Inn. (...)   Re: Old Parts in Legend Sets?

(...) Works for me. Motor Schmoter. Track Schmack. They can make it a push train for all I care. Just let me at those two tone yellow/red doors and the 1x2x2 gray windows!!! That set rules, as do the two additional cars you could get for it. In fact (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Legends suggestion

First, thank you at everybody in Lego/Lego Direct that gets things moving. Already a lot of people have done many suggestions. For sure everybody wants a Legend set in the theme they favor. Here is my suggestions: Classic Space: 497/928 Galaxy (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Old Parts in Legend Sets?

(...) Good luck getting this one rereleased... If lego rereleases 4.5v or 12v train, it will likely be with a 9v motor and/or track. (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

Re: Questions about backordering a set...

(...) I placed a $135 order and received $85 worth of it last week. They charged me the whole $10 shipping charge up front. When I received the rest of my order this week there was no additional shipping charge. Maggie C. (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Questions about backordering a set...

(...) I haven't actually gone back and looked at my orders, but I'be lately had the impression that when part of your order is backordered, you end up only ever getting charged for the shipping on the amount shipped initially. Hmm, couldn't find any (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: And the July Surprise is...
