  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) I know where you're coming from. Back in 1987 I bought NINETY of the 517 small basic sets just to get enough windows (180 1x4x3 yellow and 180 1x2x2 yellow) to finish my 25 story ONE SHELL PLAZA Art Deco office building back then (building is (...)   Re: shop.lego.com bug report

This sounds like a cookie problem -- possibly on your end, which is easier to fix, so it's the best place to start. Have you tried: - clearing out your cache (aka temporary internet files, but I believe in Netscape it's usually called cache). Always (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: shop.lego.com bug report

  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) The reason is that you and I have done it the hard way, so we can appreciate what a great thing the bulk service really is. We've spent $1000s to get certain parts, slowly collected onesies and twosies through auctions and parts sales (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: The effects of Bulk Sales are evident....

Sorry Kevin, but I missed the announcement. I'll have to enter the next contest you have. I just looked at the entrants, and I am impressed. I see Kevin Loch is building himself a downtown.   Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) Hmm. Looks to me like 6987 only has 3 1x8 bricks, so you'd be dropping about $1200 bucks to get your hands on 25 1x8 bricks going that way. And of course, you're SOL if you don't want black ones. Me, I'd spend the $5.99. Or were you not (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: 6769 Fort Legoredo on sale at Shop At Home!!

(...) For us AFOLs, it was an incredibly nice thing to do. And for LD, it's a nice way to gather a data point on our buying power. It's a win-win. But... (...)   Re: 6769 Fort Legoredo on sale at Shop At Home!!

(...) There are specific guidelines set up on the newsgroups to keep things orderly. If people posted anywhere they liked, things would get rather messy and confusing. When I was a newbie, I posted an auction announcement to .space, and people (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Guess who paid for those eToy Lego bargains?

(...) I think this is one of the most amazing old photos. Waycool! It almost seems, though, as if they were marketing more to companies (like, serious architectural firms and stuff) than to adults per se. Does that make any sense? Are the adults (...)   Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

Hey Y'all: Check out eBay auction #526012994. LEGO 6987 MESSAGE-INTERCEPT BASE (UNOPENED) -- that is MISB. Perfect shape. I just recieved it today, it's my second MISB copy of this set.
