LEGO Factory Contest: Rules or Suggestions?

I guess TLC is not enforcing the rules of its own contest: (URL) The winner in the Senior category ("Deluxe Building" by GabrielLee) was built on 16 baseplates, as opposed to the 4 specified in the (URL) contest rules>. Can someone from TLC explain (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !!

Re: LEGO Factory Contest: Rules or Suggestions?

(...) Excellent question, I'd also like to see what the deal is. I also still have some concerns from the first few days of voting... this entry received more than 200 votes when the image was garbled. Halfway through the week the image was fixed, (...)   Re: LEGO Factory Contest: Rules or Suggestions?

(...) I know there are some things with the voting that needs double checking. I've talked to the team working on the site and they are currently looking into it. As far as the 16x16 requirement, I looked through rules and I'm not finding anything (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) Hi Jake, That's one of the issues... this seems to be a requirement, based on the (URL) official rules>, but it's fairly buried: As part of the LEGO Factory Element Pallet, the Entrant will be provided with three different (3) 8 knob x 8 knob (...)   Re: LEGO Factory Contest: Rules or Suggestions?

(...) That is strangely worded. Thanks for the heads up. On one hand I'm not sure how you'd make 2 8x8 baseplates into a 16x16 area (since you'd have 8x16 if you only use two). On the other hand, using 4 8x8 baseplates results in a total surface (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) Also, forgot to ask this as well: does the entire vertical area have to fit within the 16x16 "knob" area? (I'm so used to saying "stud"...)
