Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

(...) ??? I thought this was a US-only promo... Hmm, time to go scope out my local McD's. James (URL) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

(...) The same instruction/promo sheet has both the US and the CA coupons on it. Also interesting (at least to me) is that the back of the bag says 'Made in DENMARK', no mention of USA OR Switzerland. So much for high shipping costs across the (...)   Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

Heres a question: Do the McDonadls's promo sets have Lego set numbers ? I do not see one on the bag anywhere. Nor is there a bar-code to extract the set number from. I did notice an odd code number on the back of #1: 2032/4125052. Is 2032 the set (...) (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

(...) Those look suspiciously like TLG numbers. I'm definitely going on the assumption that the four-digit number is the actual set number. Steve (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

  stupid question

this is a very stupid question but how do i post a new thread? please email me at orbitalstarcraft@hotmail.com because I don't check this newsgroup. thanks - Jon (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

  Re: stupid question

(...) Wow, that's violating one of the core rules of behaviour for discussion groups. Here's what it sounds like to us: Hey, I can't figure this out, so I want one of you people to help me. Oh, but don't post it here, because my time is too valuable (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

How to Post (was: "stupid question")

(...) To be fair, the original question should be answered here for the record. You must "drill down" to a specific newsgroup in order to post. (Choose from the list of links at the top of the page.) Once you are down in the hierarchy at least one (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

Re: more on McDonalds promo sets

You know, it's interesting that I see at least 2 sellers, both from SoCal, that say they have 50 or more complete sets. I wonder if someone is buying/bribing/stealing them from a distribution point down there? I hope one of you manages to find out, (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)
