We've love our Mavica! The old one was damaged, but it was a good excuse to
get the new model... I can't imagine ever going back to traditional film
photography. Carrying around a pocket full of floppies is pretty fun too.
Say, BTW, did you know that the origin of the Mavica brand name is a pseudo-
acronym? It stands for MAgnetic VIdeo CAmera. Sony had a short-lived
digital video camera out for a few months back in 1981. It didn't sell, but
it's interesting that they resurrected the name!

| Keep your eyes open for digital camera based on Sound Vision ((URL) technology. My company (Mentor Graphics) helped Sound Vision design the chip set (shameless plug) that is the brains of the camera. Although SoundVision does not plan to market the (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jun-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)
