Personally, I can understand the rationale for coming out with colors that
are more linear, and I understand that even a company the size of LEGO has
limits on how many different products they can carry, but I am still
disappointed that two of the most useful colors currently available are being
abandoned.
|
I wonder how much confusion would arise from having two sets of such similar
colours on the shelves at the same time (I imagine the transitional period is
going to be complicated enough). I can see why people with alerady large
amounts of grey would be disappointed, but this change is hardly going to make
pre-existing collections worthless to build with.
Okay, maybe Ill hit the ground soon and feel bad about this, but right now I
cant see anything other than the oppurtunities it presents.

New is good, but getting rid of old is bad. (Can you say Monorail?) Its
not that the new shades arent welcome, but not at the expense of the old
ones.

Indeed, but did anyone feel betrayed by the discontinuation of Monorail? Did
anyone quit Lego because of it. I think we got over that :)

In other words, if you were to map the colors into RGB space, Dark Grey is not on a (...) (21 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)
