  Re: Brickshelf poll

(...) Here's a link for you lazy guys (that might have type II :P ): (URL) I do hope Kevin's fine, as well as the lot of you. (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

(...) Okay, here's my contribution. I'm not sure how many pieces I used, and I tossed it together pretty quickly tonight, so it could probably use some refinement. I really like the record store idea, so I ran with it. (URL) imagine all of the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Brickshelf poll

I just went to Brickshelf & found the latest poll surprising. Kevin, I hope you're OK. Jeff (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

I was amazed the other night that there are details in the Bill and Mary story I never saw before. Granted I looked most at the castle bits, and the wheel falling off scene, but.. There appears to be an arsonist in their garage. Take a look. It's (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Re: Pick-a-brick Packing website?

(...) I'll repeat the information here that I sent to Mark P. in a private e-mail. The lid definitely locks on there with all 137 2x4's inside and more. My "secret" is that some of the layers can be wider than 8 studs, allowing a 2-stud gap in the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

Neat idea, one thing though... (...) This should really be set #1969, and rather than a computer shop it ought to be a bunch of minifigs in lab coats (over UCLA T-shirts or something) and those Clark Kent black-rimmed glasses, wearing pocket (...)   135+ 2x4 in a PAB cup! Stacking easily.

Here is how we found best to stack blocks and get the most out of your $12.95 cup at Pick-a-Brick. Starting at the bottom you can place 20 1x2's in the moat. Next row looks as follows...... (URL) that I placed a few 1x4's in were they would fit. I (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

(...) Right, right, right....I got it already! The set numbers being years *MIGHT* be a bit confusing. People would definitely associate them with the year these things are actually happening. I was instead thinking any set with a #197x number would (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

Hi, Dave. (...) These MOCs sound really cool, but I keep clicking on the descriptions and the links don't seem to work! What gives? Surely the top story on LUGNET couldn't be a post about hypothetical MOCs that don't really exist! I'll just keep (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

(...) Looks very comparative to the 4400 Tub. Obviously many differences, but still the lone 3x3 double convex slopes, lone 2x4 slopes and double slopes, etc. I do however envy these pieces: Trans-Light Blue Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Curved Top - (...)   Re: Pick-a-brick Packing website?

(...) IIRC, yes-- I might have been able to squeeze in a few more if it was "barely on". (...) I layed them in with studs facing sideways, stacked on their short ends (so the edge it's laying on is the 2-stud wide, 1 brick tall face). I stacked them (...)   Re: Pick-a-brick Packing website?

(...) Was the lid still able to 'lock on' with the 137? I can fit 124 2x4's into the large container with the top locking on, and i can fit 140 with the top just placed on top and looking like it fits (but not locking). What pattern are you using to (...)   Re: Pick-a-brick Packing website?

"David Eaton" <deaton@intdata.com> wrote in message news:Hny5x7.1DE6@lugnet.com... <snip> Although we didn't check thoroughly, it appeared that we could actually fit FEWER flowers by stacking than by haphazardly dumping-- So I'd guess when your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) number Chris came out with-- I was thankful!) into a large cup, and (IIRC) 71 2x4's into a small cup (though I didn't try as many techniques with the small one). Someone in our group (Doug Eaton, IIRC) also posted that he was able to fit 292 (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

(...) Well pick my nose and call me a pinecone (??)! I'm stunned! While I have everyone's attention, how fun would it be to make a LUGNET Idea Book? Script out a Bill 'n Mary story, figure out what types of events, buildings, cars, time machines, (...) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town) !

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

In the interest of space, I too have removed all of the original article. My one comment to add is to "Bring Bill and Mary back!". I've got fond memories of the "Bill and Mary Idea Book" and the online Bill and Mary World Tour. Jeff (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Re: Pick-a-brick Packing website?

(...) Thanks for pointing that link out. I will have to fiddle with the large and small cups I have. If anybody has pictures of the process I will be glad to host them and the "how-to" on my site to go along with my LLCA PAB page. Mark P (URL) (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO > SYSTEM > Town > The Times

(...) So much for THAT theory... Number one post on LUGNET right now (if you look at top rated posts this way: www.lugnet.com) is this one, with 5 spotlights and one highlight, and sure to get more as more people see it. :-) ++Lar (22 years ago, 6-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)
