BZP hits 7,000th member-Lugnet is lagging behind. —Alex Polimeni
i couldnt believe it. go to www.BZPower.com . they have 7,000 members making them the most popular lego-based site on the internet. its crazy! I was thinking that Lugnet should make a few changes which would improve posting and membership. The first (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) I've often wondered how representative the quoted membership numbers are. I remember hearing about instances of people signing up for multiple accounts so they could stuff the ballot boxes during prize-awarding MOC contests. There might also (...)          Re: BZP hits 7,000th member-Lugnet is lagging behind. —Rich Manzo
(...) All of those were found and deleted. Cheating and bribery taking place during MOC contests are treated very seriously at BZP. (...) Banned accounts are not added to the membership total. We have just over 200 banned members. The price of (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.general)

the main thing i was saying was that i dont post to much here anymore because i have to go to my hotmail to get it to work. i wasnt saying that BZP is struggling with Lugnet or anything like that. i just would like to be able to post and be done (...)      (...) And during giveaways? How sure are you that noone has an extra chance or two in the lottery draws? (...) How many? It hardly seems fair to rank the popularity of your forum based on people who haven't even participated in it. (...) But the (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) -snip- (...) So what? Sorry Dave, you are just coming off as bitter here. BZP is a great place to hang out. And yes, it _is_ one of, if not the most popular Lego site out there - and yes even more popular than.... Mask Of Destiny (gasp!). (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) Don't forget to look at the title of this thread... "BZP hits 7,000th member-Lugnet is lagging behind." Which indicates a sort of compitition. I know that the topic of Lugnet member posts is a very old, beat up topic, but I guess we might as (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Indeed. (...) Plus, Todd and Suz are working on improving this system. Additionally, I point out that we cannot really compare these two forums based on number of members anyway. The two of them cater to different audiences and do not (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: BZP hits 7,000th member-Lugnet is lagging behind. —Tim Courtney
(...) Some might like to view it as a friendly competition, but that's as far as I think it should go. I think we should be more oriented towards sharing resources in the community than trying to beat each other out for who's best, biggest, etc. I (...)       (...) Most people are likely to leave their e-mail password always-on, so they don't have to bother with it whenever they want to check for new messages. If you have access to the computer, you probably have access to the e-mail as well. The only (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: BZP hits 7,000th member-Lugnet is lagging behind. —David Laswell
(...) I'm sorry you feel that way, but it was not the intent. My intent was primarily to point out that this was an apples/oranges comparison, and also to help defuse another Brick Vs. Bionicle argument before it could happen. I figured if people (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) But why? The original post had nothing to do with what you replied to. You just took his post as an invite to bonk BZP on the head. And for what? Was it really to "help defuse another Brick Vs. Bionicle argument before it could happen"? I (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.general)

What a collosal waste of time (which I will now add to). First, let me say that I wasn't around for the first bioncle vs. brick brawl, and I admit to being agitated by the subject line of this post. "Lugnet is lagging behind" My website gets more (...)
