I rarely get hand and finger stress when I'm building. Even though I'm at a
computer all day at work and I play the piano regularly, I don't feel any
pain from repetitive overusage. I think I'd be in hell if I could NOT use
my hands.
However, my palms do get red and hurt the next day if I'm packing thousands
of plates together, or struggling with the tension of a warping wall of
bricks. Fortunately, this don't happen too often.
And yes, taking models apart is a pain. Especially, if you make a mistake
while gluing...
Last weekend, I got an unusal LEGO related injury. I'm working on a LEGO
musical instrument which will use real industrial wire. I thread the wire
through Technic pins. I got poked while tuning. Blood gushed out of my
index finger.
