"Lego" from China Sets?????

Anyone else know anything about the sets listed on eBay - allegedly by Lego
for sale only in China?  See the link below for one of many.

I have to wonder what these sets go for in China.  I suspect the price
points are a bit cheaper when converted to $us or any other currency.  I
wonder if someone has connections to arrange a "gray market" bulk
purchase/resale.  I suspect a profitable enterprise for someone with the
right connections.

(...) I think there was something a while back about some "knock-off" lego sets from china. Its a good bet that the pieces in this set arent as good quality wise as the real thing. (23 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.general)

(...) ALLERT ALLERT These sets listed as compatibel with lego is NOT compatibel at all, I've bought a few sets with the same brand name in Poland for fun to see what it was like, it's plastic crap where the figs for an example is parted up in many (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.general)
