Well, perhaps I'm more presumptuous, but I'd take it that because he's ruling
out the wheelsets, he's talking about ones which are definitely no longer
available. But as I said, confirmation would've been nice.

I think I disagree here. They were asking for info, and they got it (by the
truck-load!). I think it's a bit unfair to assume it's been forgotten, just
because they didn't answer your question.

What's the difference between that & posting here? At least you know he's gonna
read it?

You can be vocal in email, too. In the case of the wheelset question, probably
posting was what I'd have done first too, but after receiving no answer (if an
answer was important to me), I'd certainly consider a direct email. And after
receiving an answer (as I'm confident I would), I'd probably post it on LUGNET
if I thought people would be interested, and the responder gave me permission.

I have no problem emailing someone about things I'm pretty sure are relevant to
them, if they choose to publicise their address. I also have no problem
receiving email from people when it's relevant to me. I'd be surprised if the
VP of a company like lego direct thinks otherwise.

| (...) But as I pointed out in my reply... there were more than one type of "old metal-axle wheelsets" if you go far enough back. I'm not trying to be a pain, honestly... just to get some clarification. If, in fact, it's the 2x2 bricks with the small (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)
