Excellent read... thanks for the link.
Yes, it was a good read. The print version has some funny photos of real
people with huge mini-figure heads. The minifigure heads looked real, not
Photoshop'ed in.

Opening photo - two people standing in a field. One is shorter, dressed in
white overalls, striped blue shirt, classic smiley head, no hat. The other
is taller, brown corduroy pants with suspenders, long sleeve work shirt,
curly moustache head, green wizard hat. Both are staring down at a large
blue 2x4 in the field, the taller one is scratching his head.

In the far background is a Viking looking fellow, classic smiley, Viking
hat, Viking dress, shield and battle axe.

Second photo - man in suit behind office desk, strait moustache head, in/out
box & time clock on desk.

Third photo - Family in kitchen, mom behind counter with classic smiley,
short female hair. Boy at kitchen table, classic smiley, blue baseball hat,
listening to portable CD player with headphones on. Dino Research Compound
box on table with part bags scattered about. Father(?) sitting at table,
classic smiley, musing over the instruction book.

Fourth photo - Family in living room, mom & dad same as before, staring down
at Junior, sitting on floor, playing Nintendo 64 video game.

I emailed the author, complimenting him on his article and also sent him
links to LUGNET and Brickshelf.

The September 2001 issue of FastCompany magazine has a good article about
Lego and the marketing challenges faced by them. The cover of the • magazine
reads "Lego's Strategic Stumbles."

While most of us are aware of the issues facing Lego, it is a good read.

Excellent read... thanks for the link.

I put in a comment (which may or may not be approved yet) with links to
LUGNET, Brickshelf and Brickbay (as well as a flog of Milton Train Works
