Were you outraged at your ex-client or at yourself? If you were mad at
yourself for not acting sooner I can understand that. It has been said
before, but it is worth repeating: If you know of something or see
something, buy it. Don't wait, and if you are worried about it being
snapped up, certainly don't tell other people about it. The odds are it
will be gone by the time you get around to purchasing it. Those odds
increase the more you wait and the more you talk about it.
This philosphy works for both rare or old stock, clearance, and particularly
garage sale items. For clearance or old stock, in most cases, if you decide
you don't want something you can almost always return it (I know Wal-Mart,
Target. K-Mart, and Tuesday Morning all take returns within a certain time
period). This doesn't work for garage sale stuff but usually garage sale
finds are at a price point where no matter what you end up with it is
typically a good deal.

| (...) Right *on*! I woulda snatched it (the fort, not the galaxy explorer - yuck ;-) myself. Not to sell to someone though, I'd keep it to myself. There's a difference. (...) Uhhh- I slightly disagree, while the set was released because of adults, (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)
