Am I the only person who is annoyed by all the Bionicle posts that appear under technic? RoboRiders, Throbots, and Znap were never much of a problem because nobody ever posted anything about them. Or if they did, it was about a neat and useful part (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.general) !

(...) Definitely not 8?( However that is only a feature of the web interface. Viewing news.lugnet.com/technic by default actually displays the technic group and all it's sub-groups. You can filter out all the sub-groups by clicking on the "View (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.nntp)

(...) You might want to have a look at the "skip filter" mechanism (URL) see if adding -.bionicle to your skip-filter does the trick for you.
