Wow, TLC really has a good idea this time. I read this part of the
press release:
To play up its message, Lego plans a $15 million
marketing campaign, its biggest-ever launch.
In addition to
television commercials, Lego hopes to link the
product with
top skateboarders, a group that many children
in its target
age group try to emulate. The company says it
already has
signed a skateboarding superstar, whom it
wont name, to
endorse the product at competitive events and
special
promotions. It also has a license to display
Bionicle signs at
certain skateboarding contests.
And I can just imagine kids seeing this at skateboarding events and
rushing to buy construvction toys like the neato 9157 Xtreme Sports
Skatepark. Way to go TLC! Oh, wait a minute....that's made by Rivtik
;(
