I had sort of come to the same conclusion. But then in lots of other cases
we are forced to find work arounds because standard Lego joints aren't
strong enough, (1) I seems strange that Lego "cheated" by creating a special
piece to make it easy (2).
I guess I'm also miffed because I wanted to stick for pairs of legs onto the
bottom of a treasure chest and make a Luggage(3)
Cheers
Tim
(1) I'm a Technic guy myself and I have to do this a LOT
(2) Were Minifigs the start of Town Jr?
(3) The homicidal kind ala Terry Pratchett. :)
