By Will Middelaer.. basically he suggests that when a web-interface user hits
'post message', before it is sent to the server, if the message is crossposted,
then an intermediate screen comes up which has checkboxes next to each group.
So the user can choose to crosspost to all those groups, or deselect a few, or
possibly enter a follow-up group in a text-entry box. It's all there in the
link - I'm just explaining for NNTP and news-by-mail folks :)
It would dramatically reduce the amount of crosspost-noise from web-interface
users - it's done because it's easy to just hit reply and forget about the
groups - not because of malice!
I think it's a fantastic idea, but I don't know what the status (if any) on it
is :/

| I've been finding myself a bit overwhelmed by the LUGNET newsgroups lately. It seems like every day there are announcements for new subgroups and discussion categories. I understand why these are important, and that it is nice to be able to read two (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.admin.general) !!
