Another alternative for keeping messages marked as READ using web interface
is to set the history file setting for a longer amount of time. I have mine
in Netscape set at 80 days. I do go into the History file and manually
remove items leaving Lugnet page hits alone and anything else I wish to save
info for (like Ebay).
This idea works for me, but I do 90% of my Lugnet reading from home on a
single computer. Users of multiple machines will not find this very
helpful. The idea of rating everything you read may be the only alternative
at this point in time for people in those situations who wish to use the web
interface.
