Re: help/tip for building strange forms

Good luck with the model!! For something like that, you may be able to use plates, wings and hinges to make a semi-smooth but very thin shape. Think Hagrid's hut!! [LEGOSet 4754] I haven't really tried it myself but I think with a bit of imagination (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jan-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Toy store won't sell me any Lego!

As a general rule, retail district managers aren't the brightest people. I would suggest going above this DM's head to an operations chief, appear in dispair, and you may even get a $100 gift card for the mess. Or, if you're so inclined, go to a (...) I think 20 feet should be possible, it's better to add the extra length to the luffing jib, because that reduces the weight you need to raise (1/2 the extra (...)   Tallest lego crane

Good Afternoon All. I was just curious if anyone could tell me if there is any record for the tallest lego crane model? I have just completed the first set up of my own version of a Liebherr LR-11200 Crawler Crane that is 18 feet tall (almost 6 (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.general) !!

  Happy New Year.

Happy New Year all! Un Bonne & Heureuse Annee! Ein gesundes rutsch ins Neues Jahr! (Hoffentlich wird 2005 ein besseres Jahr wie 2004).   12 spoke Train Wheels that were not released

A few months ago one of the AFOL's brought to my attention the fact that 12 spoke red train wheels were not produced for sale, and yet they show up in 1968-75 Lego brochures and books. I was unaware just how much this "faux pas" existed in old Lego (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Michael, I worked at KB Toys back in my college years (1996-1998) and the poicy at the time was that we (KBToys) had the top toys that others did not.
