  Help Needed: Lost Pieces

Hello everyone, At BrickFest this year I bought the Dragon Fortress Set. When I was rushing to pack (I almost missed my plane), I opened the box to take the individual bags of pieces and put them in my packing box. Just this past week I got my (...) (...) Yes, Bill Swanberg inventoried it over on BrickLink and there are 1000 pieces. But it appears that only the first shipments of the tub have the old light and dark grays. Evidently the newer ones are showing up with the new grays. Maggie C. (22 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Does anyone have any more information on 4562? It's not in the LUGNET Set Guide, or shop.lego.com, or BrickSet. TWS Garrison (22 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: How do you clean a bunch of lego?

(...) I came up with a way that gets a higher concentration of detergent and doesn't need so much bashing together. Put them in a large zip-lock bag with loads of washing-up liguid, add enough warm water to cover them, then squeeze out the air and (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hi, We have this tub (4679) also in Belgium and sells for 39,99 Euro to 44,49 Euro / tub (depending on retail shop). Meanwhile there are some other Creator sets going on with extra pieces. There's the 4411 (Blue STRATA box)with 1000 + 200 (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: effects of extreme temperature on lego pieces.

(...) The transparent parts are quite a bit more brittle than the ABS parts, and it's been noted that they are considerably more brittle in extreme cold. Therefore, I'd suggest not leaving any trans parts in your pole barn during the winter, (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

effects of extreme temperature on lego pieces.

I have just completed a workshop in my pole barn. Although it is well insulated I only heat it in the winter when I am using it. It also is not cooled in the summer. Consequently the temperature may range from 0 degrees F to 100. Does anyone know if (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Creator Set has 500 extra pieces in dazzling colors...

(...) Yup. At least (URL) one> set has had slightly variable contents. It wasn't bundled with any other sets, it didn't have any instruction/idea booklets, and it barely had any TECHNIC connectors, so it wasn't very useful as a stand-alone set, but (...)   Re: How do you clean a bunch of lego?

(...) I also know some modelers swear by Blue Max car wax. I'm not sure how it's applied though. They say it works great on aircraft cockpits. I don't hang with the modelers much anymore--I wound up getting into LEGO instead of spending two years to (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: How do you clean a bunch of lego?

(...) When I used to buy old lots of Lego off of eBay, I would go through and hand wash each piece. I would fill a tub with lukewarm soapy water (a mild liquid dish soap work best). I let the bricks soak for a while and then scrub each piece on all (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How do you clean a bunch of lego?

John, Do a search on Lugnet for "clean" or "cleaning" - I think there may even be something in the Guide on it. As far as getting them "shiny" again, that's tougher, as the dulling of the finish is more due to minute scratches than it is to dirt. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

How do you clean a bunch of lego?

This is my first post and I hope this is not an oft asked question,as I could not find one.I know there are a lot of ways everyone can clean their bricks but to get them 'shiney' clean and not hurt them,is something I would rather just be safer than (...)
