Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) I really like rope bridges. If anyone has any that they don't want, lemme know - we can work out a trade. (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

Don't you know what's the price of Cybermasters in DM (German mark) ? Thanx ! Rene e-mail: virsik@us.svf.stuba.sk (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: LUGnet historical moment -- (was: Got 1999 mini catalog!)

(...) Yeah, I've been feeling that way too. RTL suddenly seems so... disorganized. (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) Someone on RTL suggested that these are ZNAP, not real lego at all. I've not seen ZNAP, or even good pictures of ZNAP, so I can't tell. Thoughts? (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) Oh, I _like_ the SW minifigs. They'll just probably live at work instead of at home. (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) I noticed the crawler! Hooray! The shuttle, could this be a Pegasus rocket, or Hermes space plane? I do find it hard to believe that this is *all* we are going to receive in the way of new sets. So few SW sets, and only a tiny adventurer set? (...) (...) The two piece-related acronyms currently in use refer to body functions or are in relation to body functions. This tradition should continue, and the piece should be called TIRD. I don't know of the spelling, or what the expansion would be, (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) I take the view that the pieces are probably quite versatile. Lots of pieces seem to have some kind of ball joint coupling, which is kinda scarce in Technic at the moment. I'll be crossing fingers! :-) Fredrik (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

My thoughts on the 1999 sets: Star Wars ---...--- Actually, about what I expected. I was tying to keep my expectations down, so I am pleased by what I see. The minifigs are great. I am ecstatic about the snow speeder, which was always my favorite (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

Wow. wowwowowow. The Star Wars sets look really good, I think. The snow speeder is great. You know, those Insectiod 4x4 half-domes are starting to look a lot like Star Destroyer shield generators, don'tcha know. The speed bike set is a fantastic (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: LUGnet historical moment -- (was: Got 1999 mini catalog!)

It used to take me hours to read through all the goodies on RTL. Now it only takes me a few minutes to scan through, just to determine whether there is anything interesting there. It seems like the last few weeks there hasn't. My only regret is the (...) (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)
