  Re: Different kinds of Figs

AFAIK, "maxifig" is the unofficial name for the "big people" of the 70's (the ones that you mentioned below), which are also called as "bendyarm"s. I haven't hear any approved term for technic figures, but I prefer calling them "technifigs"..:-D (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Different kinds of Figs

(...) Nope. See below. I call 'em Technic Guys. (Hopefully someday "Technic People" will become more appropriate. See other thread....) (...) THOSE were maxifigs. (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Unclear Building Instructions

(...) You are right the curved arrows are a little strange. (...) I have seen this done on several Ldraw made instructions, but I reallynever build this way. (...) What do you mean by "authentic" ? Paulo (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Different kinds of Figs

Here's a topic or two.. I was just thinking... If you call the 'Town' scale people minifigs, what do you call the Technic scale people? - Maxifigs?? Anybody else remember the really _BIG_ people? pre-minifigs? they had arms like Technic, but were (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) Different strokes for different folks (1). That rig will never get you even 10 points in a concours. And a 90 point concours T would never be seen at the drag strip, much less have its E.T.s painted in the window. Myself, I can admire both the (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

What is complete (was Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) I think most completists agree that a total reissue (if under a different number) does not take the place of the original set. So if they reissed an M:tron set, you'd need both versions to be M:tron complete. (1) Analogy is with the (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some Questions...

(...) I'd like to see your design. (...) Spray paint. Buy bulk blocks, and then sneak up on them quietly. (...) What was Anne thinking when she picked dragon colors? ;) Steve (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Timmy

(...) *shakes head* If you're going to throw insults, at least go to alt.die.die.die.wesley.crusher and do it with those who want to hear it. (or something like that) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some Questions...

(...) No. I'm only interested in Pern-colored dragons and Anne has said the only white dragon there will ever be is Ruth. Sarah Heacock sarah@eskimo.com (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Unclear Building Instructions

Step 4 is confusing. Other than turning it upside down, I'd recommend having the attachment arrows be vertical, so show all the ramps arranged together as they would be in the model, only dropped straight down. You could start with step 4 in place (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 1999 SWAT theme?

No, actually, it is a tactical semi, using a Legoland California truck converted to all black (EXCEPT for the fender piece, which is now listed on my Wants page at (URL) The trailer is 28 studs long (SO FAR. I may lengthen it) with 3 axles. Most of (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Unclear Building Instructions

(...) Step #4 was the only one I could see confusion in... I think what TLG does in cases like this is show the construction upside-down for that step. Also, the gray 2x2 with pegs in step #5 is a bit close (visually) to the red steering wheel (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Unclear Building Instructions

My daughter, (eight years old) told me that the instructions I draw where not clear. I want your opinion. Is it clear? It is at this URL: (URL) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)
