(Originally in another thread.  I gave it its own thread to make finding it
and building upon it easier.)

Here's a working sketch of the FAQ data format; in quasi-XML, to separate
the files.

<FILE NAME="file: /faq/lugnet/market/auction/awareness/1.en.faq">
Refer: title.en.faq
Subject: You mean I can get money for my old LEGO&reg;?
Locations: /market/auction/,/market/,/
Newsgroups: lugnet.market.auction
Author: Todd Lehman
FAQ-Date: 19990423

<P>Yes, absolutely -- anything that says LEGO&reg; on it.
<P>[quote snipped]
<P>Sell your old LEGO&reg; and you will be rewarded. But don't sell
it to the first bloke who offers you $10 for it -- seek out the people
who seek what you have, and both of you are winners.
<P>A list of items Jeremy inserted for demonstration:
<UL>
<LI>Item one.
<LI>Item two.
<LI>Item five.  (Three, sir!)  Three.
</UL>
</FILE>

<FILE NAME="/faq/lugnet/market/auction/awareness/title.en.faq">
Refer: ../title.en.faq
Category: Awareness
</FILE>

<FILE NAME="/faq/lugnet/market/auction/title.en.faq">
Refer: ../title.en.faq
Category: Auctions
</FILE>

<FILE NAME="/faq/lugnet/market/title.en.faq">
Refer: ../title.en.faq
Category: The Lego Market
</FILE>

etc.

Cheers,

(...) What does the Refer header mean? Say, due to what we figured out on the other thread, we can nix the Locations and Newsgroups headers, and just keep the Subject and Author headers. But doesn't the date belong on the same line is the author?... (...) (26 years ago, 24-Apr-99, to lugnet.faq)
