  I'm here

I just wanted to post to say that I made it to Arlington! I'm typing this at an internet booth in the Ballston Common Mall and I'm getting pretty excited. Unfortunately I've not been able to check all of my email accounts (it's like having your (...) (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: BrickFest 2003 Keynote Broadcast - BrickCast 2003

(...) Well, its their fault for not making the fest! let them drool on the screens while we drool on the real model! :-) --- wubwub aka stephen f roberts wildbrick.com - Jain's Guide : Promoting more than just the MOC (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) /home/wubwub/public_...st/moc.php (...) Seems to be behaving now. Just for safetys sake, I refreshed all the code to make sure. (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest preview)

I've been working on TrackDraw, a replacement for Track Designer, for six months or so. I'll talk about it at BrickFest on Saturday. You can read a little about it, and see the BrickFest PowerPoint slides here: (URL) not ready to release the program (...)   MOC Card PDF function broken

When I click on "Show MOC cards", I get a PHP error: Call to undefined function: pdf_new() in /home/wubwub/public_...st/moc.php on line 24 It worked before, so it shouldn't be hard to fix. --Bram (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

More vending at BF: now with 2-inch capsules!!

Yup, After a very successful trial-run last year, a BIGger'n'BADder coin-op machine will be dishing out the EXTRA-SUPER, very special yum-yums from LUGNET and the BrickFest 2003 folks. It will appear Saturday morning (not sure where yet). BF (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  LUGNET T-shirts at BrickFest

Hi all! Super-cool, heavy-duty LUGNET t-shirts, like last year's, are going w/me to VA. Read about them here: (URL) year I won't be at the BF registration area. So see me if you'd like one, or two, or three (!) and I'll get them from storage at the (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: BrickFest 2003 Keynote Broadcast - BrickCast 2003

(...) No! Not at all! I was joking. Really! I know as much as you do about anything Lego is about to do--ie. nothing. I was kidding. Every year Brad pulls a Steve Jobs and introduces a new product-last BrickFest, he unveiled the James Mathis Santa (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Mecha and Technic Room(s) at Brickfest

(...) So what if your MOC is of interest to Mecha/Technic/Mindstorms fans? Sorry, had to ask the stupid question ;-) (not expecting a serious response :-) (...) Ok, a little late notice, but we'll see ;-) Thanks! -TJ (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Mecha and Technic Room(s) at Brickfest

(...) There are two rooms because we needed one in which presentations can be given (246) and one in which we can install computers and act as an ante-room for 329 for competitions (331). So; If you have Technic/Mindstorms competitions type MOCs (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Mecha and Technic Room(s) at Brickfest

Please forgive my ignorance if this subject has been covered before, but what is the difference (for Technic) between room 246 "Mecha and Technic" and room 331 "Technic"? The current Events schedule lists these rooms. Will room 246 be THE room for (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Driving to Brickfest?

(...) I can second this info. The PA turnpike is shorter, distance-wise. But I-68 is more scenic (read: hilly). I like the scenery, but the hills play havoc with cruise control so I'm not sure I was able to gain any time savings with faster driving. (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  BrickFest 2003 Keynote Broadcast - BrickCast 2003

Hi folks, (URL) Friday we're going to attempt a very experimental (read, unprofessional) live broadcast of the BrickFest 2003 Keynote Address from Lego Direct SVP Brad Justus.   Re: Driving to Brickfest?

(...) Adrian, Yahoo Maps show the route at slightly under 40 miles longer, diverging in Fernway, PA, going to Morgantown, VA, and picking up I-68. The real time savings to me is avoiding the PA TPK, and the traffic encountered everytime on it (for (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Driving to Brickfest?

(...) Larry, I use I-79 to get from I-68 to I-70. It runs north-south, just west of Pittsburgh. To be honest, I've never been to Michigan or Cleveland that way; I take it on trips to central Indiana, and I have a friend who uses the route to get to (...)   Re: Driving to Brickfest?

(...) Hrm. Mapquest.com shows the route down into WV and along I-68 starting from Cleveland is 70 miles longer than taking I-70 straight through. Is it really faster? That's quite impressive if so. Adrian (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
