To all you gripers out there who think The LEGO Group owes you something • just
because you've spent a couple of bucks on their product:

GROW UP!

Oh, please, you first!..

A lot of you complaining about Brad Justus' comments about what is • appropriate
and legal to do regards TLG intellectual property and its distribution on • the
internet, need to realize that TLG could, by rights (copyrights!) remove • any
posting of any image originally created by them. That's what "rights" • means.

If you still didn't get the idea after more than a hundered messages behind
what you call "complainings", and want to reinitiate this debate, I'm here,
but I think you are just so cluless that I don't think that anybody can help
your kind.

Let's summarize for your convenience:

1- Complanining about any rule (I call this discussing) doesn't mean that
you disrespect this rule and/or you go against this rule.

2- Complaining about what you are thinking that is not correct, is a RIGHT.
So does "having objections about what you believe is wrong" and "discussing
and defending what you believe is correct". And this is still a right if
things that you are defending are not correct to any others. Note that, to
avoid a near future cheap shot, I'm not posting this message since I'm
thinking you don't have the right to say what you belive is correct, but
just for your style.."GROW UP, huh? Thanks for the compliments you "BIG
MIND"...

3- I don't think that TLC owes me something, never ever, but it also just
correct the othervise. This does not mean in anyway that I don't want a nice
relation with TLC, actually I believe this would be most wonderful thing
since the bricks themselves, but I don't want it if it would require that I
should be quite. And regarding Brad's very friendly postings, I have serious
doubts about TLC wants us to stop complaining. Brad has a rather high rank
position in TLC, and I'm sure he can wisely deal with us, "complainers",
considerably much wiser than your recent perfprmance.

4- 99% of the complainers were kind and were trying just to show that why
they were believing this or that were not correct in a mostly reasonable
way, much more then your "nice" message, further, even Brad also made a
second post enlighting the subject more, and he also recognized that url
thing is a little bit strecth, and expalined that it is only their
recommendation, not an illegal thing, which is copletely acceptable to me
and to many others. I know there were minor posts that can be considered as
not so kind or reasonable, and if your message is just for them, try
replying to those guys message instead of starting a new thread next time.

5- Actually I didn't complained any of the postings from Brad, but I'm tired
too, about your kind, who cannot withstand opinions against theirs, and not
being aware of such a very basic thing that we all are INDIVIDUALS. All of
us our own background, our own culture, our own life sytle, our own beliefs
and disbeliefs, and are all living in very different parts of this planet,
so don't try to rationalize your "given message" by introducing trems like
"group benefits", since only greatest common thing that made up this
community is nothing else but love of the brick. GROW UP and live with it.

6- Just as you are thinking(!), we are all ADULTS, having their own very
different opinions about many different subjects. Different opinions means
discussion, and news groups called as "tartisma gruplari" in Turkish, which
can be exactly translated as "Discussion Gruops", so if you don't want to
discuss, you might go to another place, where might be more appropriate.

7- I'm living under the control of a "democrasy in the words only"
government, so we have too much rules to live with which are clearly
nonsense. Someone could be in a position which he/she had better obey some
rules for many reasons (to continue to utilise a service from someone, or to
continue to breath air for example) but this does not mean in any way that
he/she can't complain about them. By reversing your example of drunk
driving, which was not a wise one actually, there are many things done just
since the performer has the ability to do it, and in case of laws and rules
you mostly must obey them, without the need of being correct, and dicussing
or complaining about their correctness is a RIGHT, indepentent from they are
correct or not.

8- Your message and my reply are not good contributions to anyones
advantage, and much more "childish" then the complaining messages that you
are complaining about, but I think you well deserved it.

Selçuk

Some of you seem to think that these rules violate your "rights". In these
circumstances, you have none. Just the same way that driving is a • privilage,
and not a right, your access to TLG information is a privilage.

Responsibility dictates that we as adults, act like adults. We, upon • finding
out we are doing things blatantly illegal, or at best, not in the • interests of
our community, make an attempt to correct our behavior. When we were • children
and did something wrong, our parents provided guidance or punishment to
correct our inappropriate actions. As adults, we are supposedly beyond the
need for someone else to influence these corrections.

Personally, I am becoming tired of the little minds that think they have • the
"right" to anything they want, just because they can get it. How many of • you
complainers would also believe that you have the "right" to drive drunk • just
because you able to? If caught, I'm sure you would gripe because the • police
did something to "get" you. You weren't responsible. It wasn't your fault.

I propose that those of you who disagree with Mr. Justus' policies, quit
demonstrating your irresponsibility by complaining, and become responsible
adults and work toward making the system more the way you want it. In • other
words: If you have a different destination, just tell TLG where you want • to
go. Don't keep spinning your wheels telling them where you won't go. It • serves
no purpose, causes irritation and slows the rest of us down.

Wayne

Okay, I see that my intent was not clearly stated. I will give it another attempt. I was trying to present the idea that for those who disagree with Lego's comments about what is okay with them regards posting of retailer information, just because (...)
