All Hail Larry!

At the risk of drifting off-topic allow me to digress a moment.  John, are • you
a lurking Larritarian?!  If so, rejoice!  Send your 1 brick love offering • to
Larry in Ada and receive a bounty 100 fold!!  Do not take this offer
lightly...  Although we Larritarians are few, there aren't many of us, so • act
today!

ObBrad- Brad- if you too choose to become a Larritarian as well, please be
advised that the 1 brick offering from you ought to be pretty special
(considering your connections & all;)

If this post seems a little strange, then perhaps you should lurk in
.off-topic.fun as well.  AFOLers are some of the most entertaining people I
"know".

Dear Brad,

Whether we like him or not, Larry is our Leader.

I do not know Larry, but have been reading his posts for the past >year.
Larry
can come to the quick on most any topic quite lucidly.  Listen to Larry, • he
is our man.

Build On!

with apologies to Larry for not asking him first

Another great missive.

Here's my comment. So far we've been all over the map on feedback. No
topic is off bounds because, finally, someone actually popped up and
said "yes, we want to listen".

But too much of a muchness is too much(1)! So to help your poor tired
eyeballs, why don't you post a short "here's some specific areas where
we could use some brainstorming" post and let us get cracking. Give us
some areas where we should brainstorm and we will, you can be sure of
that.

For instance, your post hints at some input wanted in the area of bulk
ordering. Before we go frothing off on all the parts we want, how we
want it to work, etc, can you give us a hint as to what you're looking
for? Is it info on quantities and prices, or on the sorts of parts, or
how the process would work, or what? We have ideas on all those but
without some facilitation(2), you're going to keep on getting • firehosed.
(because we love you, man... and we're not even after your bud light!)

There are probably a few other topics like that as well, where if we
just go charging off you're going to be wading through a lot of posts.
Brainstorming is good, but even brainstorming needs SOME channeling.

1 - I WANT your mailbox to be a little less full so you'll have time to
respond to my mail about how TSI/Novera might be able to help you guys
in your webwork... It's not like we're starving for the biz but I can't
think of a company I'd rather help.

2 - As a consultant I do a lot of facilitation and I *know* structure • is
important. A well structured conversation can cover 10 times the ground
per 1000 words said that an unstructured one does... but you could NOT
have gotten to be a Sr. Veep without knowing that so I'm just
grandstanding for the benefit of the viewing audience. :-)
