Benjamin, I believe (and I'm only 95% sure on this one) that the ONLY sets that had the 1x1 white numbers and letters were the parts packs (planpacks in UK). The numbers are (letters/numbers) 234/237(late 50's-early 60's), 487/488 (mid 60's) , (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.db.inv)

Well, I had a nice large list of about 30 or more sets, unfortunately my stupid system crashed because of running out of memory. One thing which would be good is to sub-divide things more, and perhaps try and make smaller pictures. The road plates (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

I have created an excel sheet with VBA in it. In a nutshell you input all the pieces of a set (in any order) by providing the 1) color of the piece, 2) the quantity of the piece, and 3) the piece ID number. The program will then sort the input page (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

In my role as a self-appointed Brick Detective, I have made up a webpage to help identify sets in which a certain "special" baseplate or boat hull is used. Benjamin, When there are very few specialty parts (like in the 60's and early 70's), it becomes very difficult to determine what sets you have. The one thing that strikes me is the 20 macaroni bricks. They are from the parts pack (#224) or possibly (...)
