Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) Does this mean that (significant parts of) LEGO were fully aware of the colour problems of the Knight Bus when they shipped them? Usually, the AFOLdom is quite early when it comes to noticing problems, and this particular issue popped up in (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) What do you mean "nobody knew"? Our production folks and quality folks were well aware of the issue by the time the AFOLs (and me) brought it up to them. It's just that when it was brought to *me*, I didn't know about it. In a company of (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) That is good news indeed. So I already ordered 1700 jumper plates in tan and hope they mach the other bricks in the model ;-) (...) I'll forward that to Heiner (I did not buy that Sandcrawler, too much new brown in it). (...) Erm, not wanting (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) Thank you very much, Dan! This list of confirmed colours is what quite a lot of people were waiting for. Let's hope the rest of the list will come soon. The thing that strikes me as quite amazing is that colours are stamped as "Universal" when (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Fire Yellow?

(...) Marc, I have a note on my Color Tree that this color was used in Clickits: (URL) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) We recently had a chance to compare our color list with LEGO's official one, and these colors were absolutely verified by LEGO as correct translations: # Peeron Lego ===...=== 1 White White 5 Tan Brick Yellow/Beige 18 Flesh Nougat 21 Red (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

  Fire Yellow?

I recently noticed the color 'Fire Yellow' in both LEGO Digital Designer and the (URL) color list at Peeron>, where it is listed as LEGO Color #190. It's very similar to regular yellow (#24 Bright Yellow in LEGO terminology), although it's a little (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) I've checked on this, and, as always, no - this is not a new color. There has been no change in this color. If you have a brick that seems to be a different color, please contact me offline and I can arrange to get your "odd" brick to the QA (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Scott Frischmann wrote: > More likely a new color. Or probably Cool Yellow. I thought they already had more than enough surplus colours? (...) Well, several people tried to get Jake or whomever at Lego to confirm that the mentioned "Beige" is indeed (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

(...) More likely a new color. Or probably Cool Yellow. Tan, known inside TLG as Beige, has been locked. See here: (URL) I shure hope TLG is smart enuff to not pull off such a silly trick again. scott Frischmann. (19 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

Not wanting to start rumors, but

"Heiner" from 1000steine mentioned in the discussion that the Sandcrawler([TM] or whatever) sports a different kind/hue of tan. Can anybody confirm/deny this? Or is this just an additional colour instead of a replacement? Or ist this a mistake on (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: ISD 10030 colors

(...) Unfortunately, I think that they have done another production run of the ISD, which would be in new gray. (The new gray part being unfortunate; not the fact that they're making more ISD's) I'd call and ask Shop @ Home first, just to be sure. (19 years ago, 23-Jun-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: 2x4 brick colors

(...) I'd like to echo Bryan on this. All the creations you do with only 20K or so, is inspiring. I've told people at train shows that it's possible to build great things will small collections, but I've not tried it myself. Sitting at around 300K (...)   Re: 2x4 brick colors

(...) I don't think it's fair to say that you could "never" build a MOC with those color schemes. I built (URL) house> with only purple parts from 6 copies of the (URL) Mini Knight's Bus>. I'd guess that you could build a house from one copy of the (...) (19 years ago, 26-May-05, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Colors of Flowers in 7330

Looking for someone with an open copy of 7330 who can tell what they interpret the colors of the Duplo flowers to be. One should be Orange, two may be Magenta... and what is the third one ? I have a copy of 2981 which has the same Duplo flower in (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: 2x4 brick colors

(...) You have less than 20,000 pieces in your collection? Wow - it sure doesn't look like that based on your creations... I have over 160,000 pieces (probably average for an AFOL) and none of the stuff I've built comes even close to the "grandeur" (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-05, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: 2x4 brick colors

(...) Wow, that's a surprise. I guess when I looked at the color table on Peeron I mainly was struck by the fact that up until a few years ago the 2x4 brick was only in a small number of colors. This does seem to have changed in the past couple of (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-05, to lugnet.color, FTX)

  Re: 2x4 brick colors

(...) That's certainly true. It's really frustrating to have a mere handful of parts in some color (for instance, I think I have exactly two purple 1x2 bricks from some Harry Potter set and no other purple (leaving aside some minifig torsos)), so (...)   Re: 2x4 brick colors

(...) I believe it is because many of the "non-standard" colors are often used as accent/detail pieces in sets, or for decorative purposes. As such, you end up with them in the smaller sizes and in oddball parts. It is rare for a set to be made up (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-05, to lugnet.color)
