    Hello! —John Henry Kruer
Well, I joining castle world...(email's coming) and here's a small teaser using my Legocam. Click on the stopmotion. (URL) thinking about joining IOM... I can get pretty good pictures out of my legocam. But there's been no updates at all. What's (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

        Re: Hello! —Jeff Stembel
(...) :\ If you have access to a scanner, I'd highly recommend using that to either scan photos of the characters or scan the characters themselves. Here is a cheap self promotion, I mean great example: (URL) ;) (...) Yeah, the person who made the (...) (22 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Benjamin Medinets
(...) I think the line above ... adequately describes what John H. Kruer is doing with his lego castle publishing. He is looking forward for his birthday in hopes that his parents get him a (real) digital camera. Scanning is a possibility. Having (...) (22 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

          Re: Hello! —John Henry Kruer
(...) Thanks all. The problem is I don't have access of a scanner- my parents are the cavemen type. Oh well, If I have to, I can spend the 16 or so dollars to digitilize pictures. Here's another animation: (URL) named tour. Its not at all good, but (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

          Re: Hello! —Kevin Blocksidge
(...) I seem to be having a problem with viewing your animations. This problem has happened when trying to load both Stopmotion9.avi and Tour.avi. After fully downloading to file, this error message come up: "Couldn't finish initializing application (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

          Re: Hello! —John Henry Kruer
(...) Hmmm... Frankly, I don't know. What type of media player do you have? does your player support avi files? What operating system do you use? Have you tried right-clicking and downloading it to your harddrive, and opening it from there? BTW- the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —John Henry Kruer
(...) Who was working on it? Maybe I we could drop them an email, or maybe somebody else can actually start it? Too bad. IOM seemed really interesting. John Kruer (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Shiri Dori
(...) Craig Hamilton was working on the map. His computer is broken down right now, and I haven't spoken to him in ages. He is one of the most creative guys we've got, and yet he's got a terrible habit of getting out of touch. (...) Well, the map (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Jeff Stembel
(...) Well, I think the lack of map updates is the problem in that respect. Most people were sending characters to the IOM on a mission, but they can't continue on these missions if they can't actually go anywhere. One suggestion I made a while back (...)          Re: Hello! —Matt Hein
(...) A seeded story would be a good idea, but I think implementing an actual storyline into the whole IOM would be a decent idea too. However, I see hardly any story line, and the missions sent into the IOM seem more like expeditions into the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Jeff Stembel
(...) Well, the point of IOM is creative freedom for the individual authors in an interactive environment. Forcing them to follow a single storyline is antithesis to the original plan. (...) I think you're missing the point of IOM. Its a tool for (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —John Henry Kruer
(...) How about ideas more like 'a weird nomand warns you of great treasure gaurded by the Killer Goblins ahead', making it completely optional. Is IOM still goung to continue? You could at least make something happen on the 4 squares already made. (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

          Re: Hello! —Jeff Stembel
(...) That isn't really what I had in mind. It forces the author's characters to act in a certain ways, which isn't good. A better scenario would be a detailed description of an unusual creature, with ecological and lifestyle information. Let's say (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Matt Hein
(...) Even so, without a preset storyline, what missions would there be, entirely? Most of them, I presume would be the expansion of cities, exploration of caves, and such. However, with a storyline, the idea of the story would progress much more (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Jeff Stembel
(...) There are many, many possibilities. Maybe there is a war at home, and they are looking for help. Maybe there was a legend about sleeping gods on the isle. Maybe they want to colonize. Or maybe they just want to explore. :) (...) Ah, but there (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

         Re: Hello! —Matt Hein
(...) Well, yes, I could see that. and, colonization is interesting, but why not put an additional storyline about it, such say, General Red decides to go to IOM to escape his rogue government, when he discovers the myth of mist, about the treasure (...)         Re: Hello! —Shiri Dori
(...) Hey, *cool* movie! I like the idea. You might want to tape the baseplate down to a table and keep the camera in one spot - that way the movie will be smoother. Have you checked out www.brickfilms.com ? It's a great place for movie-makers. I (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)
