Yeah, that's the kind of thing I was talking about... :)
I hadn't thought of putting the domes horizontally like that. I went home
last night and toyed with them a bit. You can get two of them to
"sandwich" vertically by using a couple of 1x2 single-peg tiles beneath
the hinge brick of one, and then a normal 1x2 beneath the other. Plus, the
holes in the side are big enough to stick an antenna or lightsaber blade
through, so you could easily create a "hovering" crystal or some such
inside. I was planning on using something like this when I create my
own crystal-powered airship.
I also like the suggestion for giving the "crystal keeper" a staff made from
a lightsaber blade. I may use this suggestion too.
