Hallo Jojo,

Long time no hear... My fault, sorry!

Not that long, a few months only.

I agree 50%. I think a 'catapult' is every (battle) machine that throws
things by swinging an arm. I wouldn't call a ballista a 'catapult'. But
maybe the German meaning of the word is different to English.

I see your point. But I believe that the British use the word "catapult" to
refer to what Americans call a "slingshot". Children make them from a Y
shaped stick and an elastic band, it's used to throw small rocks. I think in
German it's "die Steinschlueder" ??

Maybe a British LUGnetter can help me out here.

LEGO has made one, too: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/6012 In German it is
called "Armbrust-Streitwagen" (Crossbow Cart), because German children are
not familiar with the word 'Ballista'.

I remember that set now that you mention it. It didn't really work, though,
if I remember correctly.

Though I like Denis' work very well I'm sorry to say that I have
difficulties with the navigation on his website.

If I read Denis's site correctly (my French is worse than my German, and YOU
know how bad my German is...) his site is dormant while he redesigns it with
better interactivity. So maybe the problems you are having will be fixed. I
haven't had any problems.

Well, so it does better than mine :-)
Neither one works, I guess it's just incentive to keep trying :)

I also want to talk to you about the glassblower from your Kathedrale von
Persebeck . I'll send you an email about it (someday soon.)

Stephen
