DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Aaron West
Hey, got tired of the lack of CASTLE posts, so here's one: Look at what coolness you can create with MEGA BLOCKS Dragons line and some assorted LEGO (Monster Studios) here at Doug James Brickshelf gallery---> (URL) really like what he's done with (...)         Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Frank Filz
(...) I've looked at it hard, and decided to pass. The painted and heavily sculpted parts do look nice, but they don't look like LEGO. I also see lots of nice things like this come from clone brands, but then the next line goes in a different (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) They had a small tin (yes, tin) of the minifigs with a few figs, an assortment of weapons, and some odd bricks and baseplates. I bought one of the silver guys and one of the bronze guys (incidently, there were 8 there the day I bought them, (...) (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.castle)

<snip> (...) <snip> Just a note on your observations. The heads of these guys are not glued on, they are real snug fitting and due to the bleed of the blackened paint look, some paint may have crept into the joint hole a little. This is common with (...) (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.castle)

Q2 Mega Bloks conference call (Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!!) —Erik Olson
Mega Bloks had their 2nd quarter conference call the other day. As I expected, Vic Bertrand said Dragons (and Gyrofighters) were beyond expectations. The new TV ads go on Cartoon Network Aug 18 for 12 weeks. Otherwise the talk was pretty much by (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Q2 Mega Bloks conference call (Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!!) —Richard Marchetti
I don't see how this can be true... Everyone knows construction brick toys are a dying breed. You can't sell girls construction bricks and regular bricks just do not sell. Is there profit mainly in the Dragons (a toy I will be buying in zero (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Q2 Mega Bloks conference call (Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!!) —Dave Schuler
(...) I don't know anything about specific trading figures, but I can say that Dragons have disappeared from the shelves far faster than any other MegaBloks or LEGO product in recent memory--including the 1st round of Star Wars stuff in my area (...)          Re: Q2 Mega Bloks conference call (Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!!) —Erik Olson
(...) Q2 conference call, 8/2/02. Search for documents on SEDAR ((URL) as they are a Toronto Stock Exchange company. Look for the 8/1/02 press release. It has the phone number to call. You might still be able to listen to the call replay. Since the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Doug James
(...) the new Megabloks sets and now I see there are some excellent ones already here. Thanks for posting the link Aaron! I saw that my Brickshelf page had gotten almost 2000 hits and had only been public for 2 days so I knew something was up :) (...) (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Aaron Dalan
(...) I picked up a couple tins of these Mega Bloks Dragons guys last night. I got six warriors, six shields, 16 funky weapons, and two little mini sets with about 20 grey 2x4 bricks and some specialty wall pieces, for about $10. Despite the above (...)          Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Richard Marchetti
I totally agree. I got just the one tin myself though. These Dragons are just not very "brick-like." I wanted to like them, but no -- blech! -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 10-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Ahui Herrera
(...) I agree with you that they aren't 'brick-line' but they are SO SO COOL! I love the figures. They got that D&D look and seem very evil and sinester. The bricks are okay not LEGO mind you but the prices are so good. Up until yesterday I had (...) (22 years ago, 18-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Dragons rocks!!! (new MB Castle) —Richard Parsons
(...) Mmmm. I was never fond of the Lego dragons - too small, and just not sinister enough :-) (...) I disagree on the shame thingie only. I'm over shame. But the new MB dragon sets are great (and ideal for BrikWars). I came across these for the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Dragons rocks!!! (new MB Castle) —Richard Parsons
(...) And we do, in Big W and Target. Picked up the big Warriors Castle ($AUD90) and my boys each got a Dragonslayer set ($AUD20). VERY impressive. And some slick thinking on the designers part too - batteries in the orbs that light lights in (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Matt Hein
(...) Awesome!!! Those dragons look sweeeeet! Definitelty a relief from those boring looking lego dragons. I'm thinking I'll pick up a MB set or two and use these for my current project (just the dragons anyway...) Just wondering how Lego is going (...) (22 years ago, 10-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Mark Koeberl
(...) I just noticed the MB Dragon tins today, and I think they were the most eye-catching sets in the Lego/MegaBlok aisles. They REALLY stand out. Had to pick one up to check it out. The feel is not as good as a lego minifig, and the hands don't (...) (22 years ago, 18-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: DRAGONS ROCKS!!! Puns unavoidable, not truly sorry :o) —Enrique Durand
(...) I saw these at Target the other day, and decided to pass, but since seeing the posted pics and reading the comments, I have changed my mind. I'll be back there on my next day off to get a couple. If there are any left. I also noticed that (...) (22 years ago, 18-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle)
