Re: Seeking info - Defense Archer - Europe only set?

(...) Yeah, I've been reading those. Brad Justus never said we couldn't discuss them, though (at least, not to my knowledge). Since nothing has been said, discussions are fair game as far as I am concerned. Jeff (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: A new castle babe!!! (and a weird knight)

(...) <SNIP> (...) Yeah. Exactly. (...) I have seen that, but the swimsuit was "flat-looking". This one has curved lines, which I don´t like. --Tobias (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  FOTW: Yellow Castle

Once again my girlfriend and I exchanged a Christmas present early. (Not that I am complaining) She gave me an 80% complete yellow castle. Hooray! The stuff that is missing should be easy to replace, substituted, or otherwise won't really be missed. (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: FOTW: Yellow Castle

(...) It fits an OLD motorcycle helmet. The new ones have more rounded edges and the visor is at an angle- the older ones really were just flat against the minifig's head. I don't know any other way to describe it in words. You will, however, need a (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Round Shields

Which sets had the old circular shields with the stud in the center? And how much are these generally worth? :) Elliot Hyde (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Round Shields

Weren't they in 6030? Yep, and... 1877 6010 6021 6022 6030 6039 6061 Thanks to Heather Patey, who sent me the easy to use Castle sets inventory, I found all those with about 5 clicks! None of those are bargain priced; 6039 is probably the cheapest (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Anyne with a scanner got the new castle sets yet?

If so, I would be very grateful if you could send me high-quality 75dpi scans (with 15% JPG compression) of the instruction covers for www.brickset.co.uk Thanks in advance. Huw (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.castle)

  Correct Castle 6098 (not 6091)

Well, I found all of the new 2000 sets at Wal-Mart under $60, and all the $60 and up sets for 2000 at Toys R Us. I have picked up all of the Castle series, including two each of 6026, 6094, 6095 and all the Bulls. I have finally put them all (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Correct Castle 6098 (not 6091)

(...) I agree. Although 6085 comes close. Dan (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  THANK YOU

Hi Legofans, I received many want lists, and I want to thank you for your trust ! Don't hesitate to send me your want lists the next year, all the days, all the weeks...! I search for you; I find for you... Regards, Emmanuel. E-MAIL: (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Correct Castle 6098 (not 6091)

(...) Hard to include 6085 without including 6080.. they're almost exactly the same structure, just different colors... they even put the jail cell in the same corner of the castle! As far as 6090 being the best though, I don't know... I've always (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Correct Castle 6098 (not 6091)

Re: Correct Castle 6098 (not 6091)

(...) 6081 King's Mountain Fortress is a baseplate castle, but it had attachment points for the other modular castle sets from that era... J (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Correct Castle 6098 (not 6091)

(...) Well, yes and no... It DID have a connection point, BUT it only had ONE connection point (the left hand side looking at it straight on) so you couldn't create an enclosed wall... The other thing is that the battlements on that side are (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Holy over-priced, Batman!

There's a stunning discrepancy I've noted, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but yoiks, it's a doozy. 6094 Guarded Treasure: 101 pcs, $19.99 (CAD) 6095 Royal Joust: 99 pcs, $29.99 (CAD) Am I the only one here who finds this out to lunch? I've got 1 (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Holy over-priced, Batman!

(...) Jeez! I thought the US prices were bad. This side of the border they're US$15 and US$20, respectively. I wonder why the price for 6095 goes up so much when you go north? You'd think that the % increase would be roughly the same... J (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Holy over-priced, Batman!

(...) Actually, at current exchange rates, USD 20 = CAD 29.40, and USD 15 = CAD 22.05. So actually, the Royal Joust is about equivalent, and the Guarded Treasure is cheaper. Not that it's not expensive in either country. (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Holy over-priced, Batman!

Crap! This sure doesn't bode well for a man of limited means like myself. Then again, I am getting a job soon. I'm gonna need to if I want King Leo's Castle... Anybody know how much that thing is (in U.S. currency)? Mike (...) (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Holy over-priced, Batman!

(...) Yup, the exchange rate bites (for us Canucks, at least). See, John? Lego is cheaper here! <grin, duck> James (URL) those of you wondering, John Neal was bugging me a while back about no reason to live in Edmonton...) (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Holy over-priced, Batman!

(...) Howdy! US Price of King Leo's Castle. It was $89.99 at Toys R Us. Considering how poorly it was packed and how few pieces it has, I was shocked. The lack of a window box means that LEGO must be embarased by the pieces chosen for it. And it (...) (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
