  RE: Classic Space set 6888

(...) Bummer. (...) I have used heightfields several times, but I can never get them to look exactly as I want them too. I wanted hills that really looked like the CS hills in this case. (...)   Re: Classic Space set 6888

I made a movie once, with a Futuron guy flying on a spaceship over a classic space landscape -entirely in POV-ray. (The movie got lost when my HD crashed, so I can't show it to you.) The hills were easy to make; use a heightfield! If you don't know (...) (24 years ago, 7-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.publish, lugnet.cad.ray)

re-launch of my Lego ray-tracing site

I am proud to announce the re-launching of my new-and-improved "Ray-Traced Lego Mania" collection.   New renderings

Hi, I've just put up a couple of new renderings. One is of my icerat with some extra stuff: (URL) other, with permission, is of Ben Vaughan's ronin. (URL) plan to do more renderings, so stay tuned Thanks Jay (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: A Problem with L3P Add-On

Try downloading the new version of L3PAO - I had exactly the same problem and narrowed it down to L3PAO not passing the full path to the .dat file to L3P and so the error message was that L3P couldn't find the input file but the DOS box clears too (...) (...) Right. From (URL) or ldraw.ini It is no longer necessary to set the environment variable LDRAWDIR if you are using LDAO or LDLite. If LDRAWDIR is not set, L3P looks for ldraw.ini in C:\Windows (or the directory specified by the environment (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: A Problem with L3P Add-On

  Re: A Problem with L3P Add-On

The case shouldn't matter. Have you set the LDRAWDIR environment variable to point to d:\ldraw? If not, L3P won't work (unless L3PAddOn does this automatically). Check the L3P DOS window again.
