The case shouldn't matter.  Have you set the LDRAWDIR environment variable
to point to d:\ldraw?  If not, L3P won't work (unless L3PAddOn does this
automatically).  Check the L3P DOS window again.  If the help text ends with
the following (after you hit a key to continue twice), you need to set this
environment variable:

*** Environment variable LDRAWDIR must be set to directory with
P,PARTS,MODELS.
e.g.  'set LDRAWDIR=c:\Lego\Ldraw'       (don't use long names)
You may type the set command at the DOS prompt or put it into
C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT.

Nicholas,
It doesn't matter what drive or directory you have L3P in, L3PAO should • run
fine.

Open up Regedit (go to Start | Run | type in "RegEdit")
Go to the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings

Inside this key, you should have another key named:
L3PAddOn

If so, go to the "Paths" key...
what is listed for:
EXEName
L3PPath

Feel free to email me directly and we'll get to the bottom of this.

All right here are my settings:
EXEName:  "L3P.exe"
L3PPath:  "d:\LDraw"

These both seem to be correct (that's where everything is).  But, oddly
enough (I don't think it matters though) the other settings all have my
second HD as D:\, not d:\.  Kind of odd.  Thanks for your help.  I also
downloaded your latest version 1.2.5 and it still doesn't work.  And I • tried
creating a .pov file "manually" with L3P and that worked perfectly.

(...) Hmmm... good call Travis... unfortunately he said that everything works fine if he runs L3P manually, so the LDrawDir variable must be set (or he has LDAO installed). L3PAO does *not* set the LDrawDir variable automatically though, so that was (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)
