  Tilting the camera

I'm adding an option to L3P to specify the skyvector, -csky<x>,<y>,<z> camera sky vector, default is 0,-1,0 This option is primarily for other programs, that can calculate a vector. However, I think it would be useful to have a simple option to (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: How can I make the wheels rotate?

(...) In the model's POV code, there is a matrix that both rotates and positions the wheel. It looks something like this: matrix <1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,1,25,30,35> The first nine values control rotation and scaling of the part. The last 3 control the (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

How can I make the wheels rotate?

Hi all, just a quick question How can make my wheels rotate around like normal car wheels instead of having the rotating around like if the are in orbit around a planet or some thing? I used this but is not right rotate <clock,0,0>} (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: lightsaber effect

(...) I built some replacement parts for the lightsaber blade. These look normal in ldraw tools, but when you run them through l3p, the blade gets replaced by a cylinder filled with light-emitting media. Note that there are 3 different blade parts, (...)   Re: lightsaber effect

I don't know Pov-ray so well, but in Autodesk VIZ R4, you just make the material self-illumintaing, and you apply a glowfilter. Like this: (URL) Hasse Lie (22 years ago, 14-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  lightsaber effect

How does one create a lightsaber effect in POV-Ray? And I don't mean lighting up a lightsaber part. From my very limited knowledge of the program, it seems you could use one (or more) cylinders with various media applied. Other than that I am (...) (22 years ago, 14-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Final version of my 'playtable' rendering

(...) For years I have thought of modelling a tree or at least a bush, but I haven't come up with an idea of how to "extrude" the raised parts. I think maybe the next generation with cylinders like green "Hundreds and Thousands"(R) is easier; you (...) (22 years ago, 14-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Final version of my 'playtable' rendering

Oh well, it didn't become SOTM, but I'm quite pleased myself with this rendering: (URL) a re-creation of a picture in my old Idea Book: (URL) (and isn't anyone going to ask me how I made the trees?) -- Anders Isaksson, Sweden BlockCAD: (2 URLs) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: LDraw and Bryce

Use DAT2LWS or DAT2DXF and then import into bryce. I think you can get both of those programs on the ldraw.org website. If you have trouble finding either or can't get it to work right email me and I'll help out. - Orion (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Muzzle flash in POV-Ray?

(...) Okay, this machine still can't find that page, but I've got another machine pointing to another bank of proxy servers and I was able to see it there. Wow- Jeremy has much better examples. I may use some of those techniques for my flames. I'll (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Muzzle flash in POV-Ray?

  Re: Muzzle flash in POV-Ray?

  Re: Muzzle flash in POV-Ray?
