When you add new parts to the library you have to options: 1) Modify or update the parts.lst yourself ==> then you have to restart MLCad (only during startup the parts.lst is read) 2) Open the menu "Files/Scan parts" and let MLCad search for new (...) (24 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I downloaded the latest parts update and added the parts to my Ldraw\parts directory as well as to Parts.LST. I went into MLCad and wanted to select a new part, just to see if it worked, and the part was not in the list dialogue box or in the side (...) (24 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) For most parts. In slopes, the dimension across the primary slope face is listed first. So regular 45-degree slope-bricks will always be described as 2xN. (...) Two small problems... 1. you have to create the graphic. For a complex torso this is hard. 2D helps but there still are a lot of triangles. I'm surprised that this hasn't been mentioned yet, but 'skins' wouldn't be very hard to implement at all...in fact it HAS been done (although not in this context *). Simply make a two-dimensional part for each graphic and create a Graphic or Decal (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) THIS user of LDraw tools considers decorated torsos of GREAT value. I only wis they were all done or that there was an easier way to do what are essentially bitmaps tiled onto a flat surface. OK, I have done a similar thing in my PCC which uses yellow tubing for handrails. the tubing needs to be 14 plates high so I changed the length -20 to -14*8 by hand in the mpd to get the length right, then moved/rotated the tubing around in (...) Hi, In my previous installation of MLCad, I could step through the parts of a model, and MLCad would only draw the pieces up to the part I stepped to. After a re-install, I can't find an option to enable this behaviour anymore, I always see the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Well, why don´t you raytrace the models? Use POV-Ray or try Lightwave for it. For use Lightwave, you need a converter to convert from *.DAT to *.LWO.
