Re: url for the parts tracker?

(...) We should probably incorporate that into ldraw.org as well. And have a submission form for people submitting information on parts they plan to work on or have completed. I was looking through the tracker and noticed Luis Fernandez was planning (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  License questions

Hello All, I'm starting work on POV-Ray export for my LD4DStudio project and was wondering about the LDraw license. I'm planning to generate POV-Ray files/objects per highlevel LDraw part. In the resulting source I will include all '0' lines from (...) (16 years ago, 18-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I'd love to help but always feel I'm not worthy. If you take a look at (URL) then you can see as much as I'd like to get involved. I only have experience of some of the available utilities but it seems to be enough. I think what we all suffer from (...) Sometimes I really can't understand the exact point that people want to come up with those type of conclusions, because, simply checking out the prior examples of same kind, which are already implemented with the ongoing system, just show the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

So either we have to give up on preventing ballot stuffing, or on not exchanging personally identifiable information. For the brain-storm: * (...)   Re: Internationalization of the part library?

(...) From a technical perspective I agree with Larry that the part number looks like the best key, and that the current part name is just one instance of an international language set of names.   An idea

Wouldn't it be neat if, when you load a model in a CAD program, if a piece in the model is missing, it could automatically download the missing part from ldraw.org for you? Or periodically poll ldraw.org to see if DAT file updates are available, and (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: BFC and Primitives

(...) IMHO, i don't consider BFC statements as an important ldraw issue, for following reasons: 1. Popular tools do not use these statements (including LDraw, MLCad, LDView and L3P & POV-ray). L3Lab use them but L3Lab is superceded by LDView both in (...) (23 years ago, 6-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

LDGLite 1.0.18 for OS X now sets LDRAWDIR correctly

Thanks to Erik Knopp we discovered that the set-ldrawdir.command script that shipped with LDGLite 1.0.18 was not correctly setting the ldrawdir value for users who placed their ldraw directories in their user libraries (~/Library/ldraw).   Re: Articles on ldraw.org out of date - I can help
