Re: New guidelines on parts and numbers (long)

(...) Yep, there are many such "errors". We have only just agreed to a way to reconcile these problems, for the future and for existing parts. Generally, existing parts with 7xxxx numbers will changed. The 7xxxx number will refer to a hard-coded (...) (26 years ago, 4-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) on (...) They've turned out great! My biggest problem is finding the right parts in the right colors. When is the next Auczilla starting? For the MF, I even scavenged wing parts from my Galaxy Explorer, which has never before come apart. I've (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Tracker news

Two things that would be really nice: 1. Be able to sort the listing by any of the columns. 2. Be able to filter the view. The key filter, for me, would be by Author. When I go in to update my entries, I'm usually updating several items, and I'd (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Tracker news

I have made a mock-up of what the revised version of the LDraw Parts Tracker might look like. Please visit: (URL) love to hear people's thoughts on the design and layout! Question: I have placed "actions" buttons in the right hand column: a "get (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New guidelines on parts and numbers (long)

i have made an observation. ldraw already violates the rule of no #16 7xxxx parts. look at e.g. the gold coins or the exhaust pipes... what is going to be done about that? (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lugnet.cad.dat heirarchy

i think that we should have a group for MOC's, a group for parts posts and a group for TLG sets. (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Request: 30200

Karim, your timing is good. My son and I just spent 4 hours last night building several of your microfig Star Wars creations, and so you are high on my "thank you" list. (I only wish I had more 1x1 black tiles.) I have the cockpit part, and have (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: How big is your VEC dir?

Since I know what just about every peice is named in LDraw, I find ONYX's part search program much more useful than the VEC, so I've deleted my VEC dir (sorry Steve - I still use the other useful functions of LDAO, though) --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o (...)   Re: Part Tracker news

(...) That is what I thought should happen. I view the tracker as being an aide to piece authors, to prevent duplication of work. I rarely ever go check the Tracker page myself. I consider it the authors responsibility to check the page before (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lugnet.cad.dat heirarchy

I was wondering what was taking Todd so long to reply (he usually pounces on questions directed his way) and now I see he was writing a thesis on the topic. Thanks for the in-depth response. The major reason I see for separating out parts and (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Tracker news

(...) Any recommendations on how things could be better integrated? Or do people feel that the current system works well? I'd especially like to hear Terry's thoughts -- I'm happy to try and help the voting process along in any way possible. Thanks, (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

<discussion about new home for Parts Tracker snipped> (...) Makes sense. Let's say it will be a temporary move for now, although that could quickly turn into permanent if I decide I can't afford to re-establish a personal web site. (...) True, speed (...)   Quad intersections

Can anyone explain how to intersect a quad? I'm sure I can figure it out on my own, but if someone knows of some straightforward formulae, I'd be very appreciative. Since this is for LDraw, I've got the following situation: Conditions: - Four points (...) (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: How big is your VEC dir?

It's got nothing to do with LDAO, but it is currently less than 1 MB. Of course, then you have to print it out. Or keep another program open and use "find" a lot. (26 years ago, 3-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
