Okay, this is my second posting (the first was to lugnet.cad) about PerlLD which is my little Perl/Tk/OpenGL modeller. In Australia, I have some sets in the 1998 LEGO catalogue - I haven't received this year's catalogue yet - that are in a category known as Competition. (...) Yes, I agree. But MPD is not very parser-friendly. You read the file and half-way down it says: "Oh, by the way, I'm an MPD!" How are you supposed to avoid complaining about garbage lines before the first "0 FILE" without parsing each file (...) (26 years ago, 16-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

The *strength* of LDRAW is the Type 2 and Type 5 lines. They are key to making rendered instruction sheet output look good. I think valid drawing lines before the first "0 FILE" of an MPD file should not be allowed (comments and garbage lines are OK). Either it is an MPD file, or it is not. If valid drawing lines are encountered first, well, here's an example of what (...) (26 years ago, 16-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

OK: Stop button is officially on the TODO list. A backwards redraw would be nice, but I don't see an easy way to handle it in the code. The LDAO modeler can be useful here: you can set it up to only draw lines that are highlighted in the editor, or (...) (26 years ago, 16-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
