Hello!
I thought we talked/discussed about self-certification in the parts tracker
and came to the conclusion that self-certifications shouldn't be done.
I noticed lateley that people submit parts to the parts tracker and self
certify these right away.
IMHO that doesn't make any sense at all.
I know how bad it is to wait for a part to get released. I have like twenty
parts myself in line waiting to get released (most of them waiting longer
than the parts tracker even exists) and I'm not self-certifying either (at
least not anymore... i did it very rarely until we discussed it here).
I know its very enticing to self-certify but please use that time instead
for looking at others authors parts.
Besides that it's not fair to people like me who have waiting parts in line
for a long time too and who are waiting for a fair certify.

| I agree with Carsten. I think self certification is contrary to reason the parts tracker was formed, to put out quality error free parts. Those of you out there who work in fields where Quality Assurance is a big deal understand why self-cert can be (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
