Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn

(...) Which piece is this? (...) Is this similar to the other gear rack with holes pieces? (...) Is this the shock that has been "on hold" for about 6 months? (...) I take it this is the one that keeps breaking (...) What are these? Some missing (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  mirroring parts

Has anyone got a tool, that can mirror a portion of a part? What I need to do is change the prefix (from positive (nothing) to negative (-)) of a whole bunch of "X" values, leaving the "Y" and "Z" values intact I don't feel like doing it by hand:) (...) (...) Details, details. Do you expect me to remember everything...? ;o) (URL) interact correctly with LDS Shell, I had to make some small adjustments in LDS. Ver 0.22 is not an official version, but at least it has the PLOT function, though (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

I'm not quite sure where I left off in this discussion, so I suppose this is as good a place as any for an update. I just hooked up ldglite to Netscape in linux by adding the MIME type "application/x-ldraw" and setting the app to (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Parts from 8448 not LDrawn

[X-posted to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.technic, follow-up set to lugnet.cad.dev] While building the way-cool #8448 SSS Super Car Mk II, I compiled a list of parts which have not been modeled in LDraw yet. I've included it below. I had two reactions to (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.technic)

Re: [LDS] Is the keyword PLOT free?

(...) Good. Then I hereby claim it. (...) I wasn't either, but then came LDS Shell, and I changed my mind. After the Redraw button is clicked on, the Editor re-reads the source file. (...) Correct, is there a better terminolgy? If those two (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [LDS] Is the keyword PLOT free?

I believe PLOT is currently unused by all known LDRAW utilities. I'm not too keen on the compiler modifying the source file, but that's your decision. So <sectors> is how many points to generate, and <total_sectors> is the total number of sectors in (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

(...) At this point, I don't even know if the ARC program is DOS or Windows, so I can't say for sure if it's case-aware or not. I'll be finding out soon, after the 2000-01 voting process. Which is going to happen (relatively) soon, I promise. Steve (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

[LDS] Is the keyword PLOT free?

A new version of LDS is just about ready to be uploaded. I have added a new function that has no real name yet, but I think PLOT is a candidate. What it does is hard to explain, but I'll try: It plots the coordinates of a curve and creates an array (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: OMR Filenaming Standard Change?

(...) Exactly my point. 'Official' "alternate" models are the models that can be made using the pieces supplied in the set, and instructions are given in the instruction manual that comes with the set. this would include Technic sets and Technic (...)   Re: Part number for crystal in Rock Raider sets?

(...) You should ask that to Lego. ;) We try to follow the Lego numbering scheme as far as known. As far as CAD is concerned there is no need for a different part, it's just a matter of changing the colour properties. Rui Martins (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

CASE style in filenames (was Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

I have given up on my CASE-SENSITIVE choice, and I now have a Summary of all this talk, with some taughs in the middle.
