  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) I believe that would take care of the problem. CSTUD.DAT wouldn't be recognized by LDraw and LEdit as anything special--these two programs recognize files named stud*.dat as special files; LDraw substitutes stu2*.dat when the fast draw option (...)   Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) I'd say, brickwise, Tyco's biggest problem is they didn't round off the edges of the bricks. You thought it hurt to step on *LEGO* bricks? Those Tyco pieces were doubly painful. Also, the lack of rounding made it hard to pry the pieces apart. (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) It's funny you should mention that; I had the same thought once I'd downloaded the latest version of L3P and started messing around with the quality settings. If I were to use a CSTUD.DAT file, what would have to be different about it for L3P (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number for crystal in Rock Raider sets?

(...) Ok, ok, I got it... Steve Bliss, your Great! Your LDAO fixed my problems! I had removed a few too many spaces when manually condensing the files. I will repost the dat files. Thanks anyway. Paul (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Moved to lugnet.cad.dev from lugnet.cad.dat.parts (...) this a problem on my computer, or is there something I need to fix in the dat file?   Re: Old Parts replaced by Newer Versions?

It's all a matter of priority (and access to the parts themseleves). What is most (...) (25 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I'm not sure I understand your question perfectly, but I can use clones for two purposes: 1. A cool colour or shape that TLG does not supply. 2. Hacking! Building in micro-switches, making cable tunnels and such things. But I am a Lego purist in (...)   Re: Off topic question Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

Off topic question Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) Legal calamities aside, wouldn't it be cool if each clone or construction system could have its own subdomain of ldraw.org? (6 URLs) would solve all the issues perfectly. --Todd (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.cad.dev)
