Re: [LDAO] New beta version available

After I downloaded the new version of LDAO, I noticed one problem. In the VEC, the only piece that did show up was one that I had moved to a different catergory. It didn't tell me to update the Vec or anything, and all the images were there. I tried (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

And I can see advantages and disadvantages to that too: Advantages: - Set can be publicly accessible for comments and editing before placed on a site and approved. - Set can be sent to one place and multiple model editors can have (...)   Re: 3840p01 Minifig Vest with Danger Stripes Stickers (Was: x740 Minifig Vest)

(...) I recall a long thread about this back on LCAD. I thought we agreed then that stickers should be treated as separate "parts", since they can in theory be stuck anywhere. It kind of got held up because sticker "parts" have only a very small (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

To add some clarification to the original newsgroup idea, I didn't mean that things like the Lugnet sets-DB would automatically root through the newsgroups and point to any old version of a model that happened to appear in the .models.sets (...)   Storage and Display of OMR Files

I need some pointers and input on how the OMR should display the download pages and also where the files will be stored.   Re: LDAO Suggestion Mark 2

Re: [LDAO] New beta version available

(...) Well, I went and checked again, and you were right about Mover eating the first on each line of header comments. That's been fixed. I've *got* to make Mover do recursive corrections (ie, fix submodels). And directory-wide operations. Steve (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [LDAO] New beta version available

Yes, They were with 2.1.0, but let me just check... hmm doesn't seem to be doing it, maybe it was on the other one I was using, which was two before this beta. Maybe I was just confused. I was going between the two last night. I'd have both open and (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [LDAO] New beta version available

Were the problems with Mover and Inliner in the new beta version (2.1.0), or an older version of LDAO? I checked the current code this morning, and both operations seem to work fine, in both \models and subdirectories of \models. The only problem (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [LDAO] New beta version available

(...) Erk. I will check these. (...) OK, I will check these, too. The whole directory thing is probably going to keep popping up for awhile--previously, I was lazy, and used a lot of hard-coded "\models" as the location of files. Steve (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDAO Suggestion Mark 2

(...) A definable search path would be good. Some ideas: 1. An ini-file setting. 2. Several ini-file settings, similar to the [Views] section. Let the user setup as many different ones as he wants, and pick one at render-time. 3. An environment (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDAO Suggestion Mark 2

Should we add a search path in the ldraw.ini file? There is a performance hit if you specify the directories in a different order. The first time LDLite finds a reference to a file, it tries to open the file in /p directory, then /parts, etc. Trying (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [LDAO] New beta version available

One other problem I found is that after using the MOVER, when it gives you the option to save changes, it gives an error when you try to do that. Also I've noticed that the mover will delete a word or two in the header, and if the first line after (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
