  Re: New rule for SOTM/MOTM

(...) <snip> A agree with this. However, as developer of the code behind the MOTM, finding time to build this into the module has been scarce. In the mean time I could simplify the rule by moving all the format stuff down into the submissions block. (...) (17 years ago, 9-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw.org's August 2007 Model, Scene and Part of the Month Winners

(...) Two questions: If a contest "quorum" is not met, are the existing entries (two in this case) carried over to the next month? Was my entry for this month's contest received? I received no verification email (I don't know if I should have). (...) (17 years ago, 9-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

  Re: New rule for SOTM/MOTM

(...) I suggest contest entries be accepted via an upload form on the LDraw.org web site. Personally, I found the large list of contest rules somewhat overwhelming (some 36 bullet points for MOTM/SOTM alone). In fact, although I have created many (...)   Re: New rule for SOTM/MOTM

(...) I concur that the contests would benefit from more publicity. I have only seen them mentioned at LDraw.org and here at Lugnet. I have no idea what costs and resources are involved, but what if LDraw.org advertised the contests on Brickshelf? (...) (17 years ago, 9-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: New rule for SOTM/MOTM

This makes sense as I agree that it's gotten a little silly to have only 2 entries up for voting some months, (albeit, this month in particular, really good ones) but I also think that the result of this currently is going to be that there will only (...) Thanks to everyone who voted for my scene and congratulations to the other winners! w. (17 years ago, 7-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  L(EGO)Draw parts

Hi folks, as announced in this thread: (URL) members of the Steering Committee (SteerCo) have been in contact with LEGO to look at ways of working together to ease the conversion between the LEGO Digital Designer and the LDraw System Of Tools.   Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) Certainly not intentional. I haven't the faintest idea why that happens. (...) For me both mouse wheel scroll and scrollbar scroll worked as expected during testing the other day, but today when I change my computer to the Toy Story Look (...) (17 years ago, 26-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) That seems to have partially solved the problem, but it introduced a change (maybe intentional). LDList now shows up with Win2K style title bar in XP even when themes are enabled. (Your screenshot from the old version shows it working with (...) (17 years ago, 25-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) Thanks to Travis Cobbs I've managed to reproduce, and hopefully fix, this problem. The download is updated, but not the web pages - (URL) updated version is 4.11, please download it again and retry on your system and let me know if the fix (...) (17 years ago, 25-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Bug in current version of LDList

Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) Not sure if themes have to be enabled or not. However, it looks like the setting is bit 3 in a registry key. See here: (URL) that the value appears to be stored in little endian binary, instead of a DWORD, so be careful if you're modifying the (...) (17 years ago, 24-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) I have Win XP SP2, run in Classic mode, maybe Themes is a prerequisite too? I don't have TweakUI installed, do you happen to know which registry entry is involved? (17 years ago, 24-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) If it doesn't happen to you, it's obviously kind of hard (read: well-nigh impossible) to fix. Having said that, as far as I know, the setting is enabled by default (at least in Windows XP). I know exactly how to enable and disable it with (...) (17 years ago, 24-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: MOTM Contest Questions and a Proposal

(...) As the person who wrote the current rules here's my reasoning behind this. The issue is not the fear of models being sold or something like that, it is simply not forcing someone to do something they don't want to do. The MOTM contest doesn't (...)   Re: Bug in current version of LDList

(...) Thanks for the research! Unfortunately, I can't see the problem, the definition of the listbox in LDList doesn't match the description in the jrsoftware thread, Power Toys are delivered by Microsoft without any guarantees, ..., I think I'll (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Portable MPD Submodel Names

(...) Actually, I think you are correct. It makes sense from that perspective. The line type 1 naming rules apply to anything referenced by a type 1 line, including submodels. Thanks, Mike! Jim (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Portable MPD Submodel Names

I think the answer is very easy. Linetype 1 is for referencing to an existing LDraw file, doesn't matter which type (part, subpart, primitive etc.) So it is not necessary to describe that in the MPD Language Extension. The MPD Language Extension is (...) (17 years ago, 22-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)
