Re: Stud5 and type 5 lines at edge of cylinders.

(...) That's what I was afraid of... That is not how I handled it in the program. So, now this should apply for any segment files, right? 1-16,1-8,3-16,1-4,7-48, etc? If so, I will have to rethink how to calculate those points. now... this brings us (...) (21 years ago, 2-Oct-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, FTX)

(...) Ok... I'm a bit lost is all this mess. I need to know where we stand on this issue. I have a Primitive Generator program written with Visual Basic available for people to download and use. If I have handled this incorrecly, I need to know so I (...) (21 years ago, 2-Oct-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: LDraw-to-Raves (was: POV in Part)

(...) Well, first, lego parts get really dusty when they're left out. They're like little ABS dust magnets. But it looks like the part in LDraw is the right size. At least, it mates up with part 2409(.dat) nice and clean. Maybe they're both wrong? (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Octan Logo Pattern

I don't know if this helps any, but I created a vector version of the Octan yin-yang and text logos. You can find the main folder at (URL) and the vector versions (Illustrator and Postscript) are in the vectorfiles subfolder. As I said when I (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Octan Logo Pattern

I try to make an Excel form for creating Octan logo patterns. You can find it here:(URL) creates the wireframe of the upper half of the octan logo (Yin).   Is anyone working on 30626 or 30647 ?

These parts don't seem to be in the PT yet. Is anyone building them? If not, would anyone volunteer to create the .dat files? (2 URLs) -John (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: how to make graphics

If you don't mind the ongoing POV-primitive debate, or are only interested in using the part yourself, you could make the dat file show a solid grey circle for normal dat (...)   Re: how to make graphics

(...) That is a great explanation, and its exactly what I did. Its reassuring to me that a couple of my more creative solutions, are probably the best way to take care of the issues I had. my only thing left to do is place the two circular areas on (...)   Re: how to make graphics

  Re: how to make graphics

(...) The thing to remember here is that artwork on parts are applied as graphic primitives, like lines and triangles. You can not apply a bitmap image to a part. The .dat format just does not support it. -Chuck (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
